Oof, furries have infected Hollywood. If im not wrong, this is a movie recreation of the once popular "Play"/Musical named Cats (performed on Broadway heavily) that had that one soundtrack Putin used in his biography video.
They even failed on the tail aspect! The tail reflects how the cat is feeling, but instead it just moves or is down but isn't reflecting their emotions at all! That said, it is foolish for mortals to try to imitate supreme god beings that are cats
When I saw the title, I was crossing my fingers if this will be the Jellicle Cats by Mr. Webber I’m thinking of and bam! I was correct and shocked to see a movie adaptation of it! Wow, that white cat Victoria is the protagonist of the whole run? Well, she had her own ‘coming-of-age’ part so no wonder. And if you think this will be the ‘best horror of 2019’ you’re bound to be disappointed, lol. It’s more musically dramatic and weird but not really horror, though if you think they all looked creepy, then why not? I’m also glad Rebel will play as that playful, clever, chubby mommy cat Jennyanydots, because I’m sure she can portray her with ease (not saying I’m already a biased fan ‘cuz I was assigned as Jenny during my grade school play so... hehe) Anyway, people may find this movie adaptation weird or not-worth-their-time, but for me, I’ll be waiting for it with anticipation. That's just... some serious uncanny valley stuff going on there. Honestly, this would have been better without CGI or if they'd just went with a stylized cartoon CGI animation (Cats Don't Dance, but CGI version). This... whatever it is... gives me the hebejeebies.
Actually, when it was my first time watching the Cats play, I felt weirded-out by them and got confused if they’re human in a cat costume or a cat experiment gone wrong, lol, you can’t blame my over-imaginative nine-years-old childish brain back then. So I don’t really mind if others find Cats creepy too. Though, I’m really thankful you post this. With those Disney live-action being rampant in every cinemas, and the iconic Les Miserables getting lots of attention, I’m glad they finally noticed Cats and made a movie for it.
hmmm.. ballet? anyways.. this looks pretty "unique".. I love the music used.. it's a musical drama and same director as les miserables so i think i'll be giving this a try.. the white cat feels weird to me though.. the others are quite cute specially the fat ones... calling @Nyann just coz its cats... @.@
You know when I heard of the cat girl project I thought the end product will be something like nukoduke And not whatever that horror was, which made me realize, what if the end product ends up like those creatures in that horror movie

Yes, there’s drama, especially with Glizabella, the cat who sang her sob song called ‘Memory’; it has lyrics with the ‘touch me’ part and there are features with comedy and some suspense; like the kidnapping event of their chief cat Old Deuteronomy.
