Guys I wanted to discuss about Japan's censorship laws. Don't you think they are quite hypocritical ?
I'm gonna jump in and not talk about Japan but toss in that wasn't there a censorship law for CN as well? Sorry, just wanted to confirm and toss it out for discussion as well.
iirc they comb their internet forums/areas to remove bad words I think they have the same censorship as japan for porn but they might just block out porn all together do not remember.
I really don't remember or I can be making it up or dreaming about it. But I think I read somewhere that said CN has censorship on like sex scenes or very intimate scenes or something like that. And because of that, it's not as enjoyable to read CN as much anymore. Like in romance novels but missing any kind of close intimacy to a short paragraph depicting their night.
Exactly! Sounds about right. Though I don't understand the reason for banning it in the first place. I mean, it's already 18+ which implies that kids are forbidden to watch so where exactly does the problem lie then? They should maybe just take some measures to prevent children from stumbling upon them by accident, I don't see why you'd ban it from everyone else.

I really don't know. I THINK I read a post somewhere saying something like that but I skimmed it, so I don't remember. Sorry and that is why I tossed it out for confirmation.
Uhhh theyre protecting the children! zomg! ... but then again, they have shown glimps of bare boobs (not anime) on an onsen review in live television...
I think they do not mind bare boobs being out in the open it just the genitals of males or females they do not allow to be shown in Japan at least.
Well that is not exactly correct. Clearly someone hadn't read martial god asura or CCM Both of them have rather direct scenes of the sexual kind. It is not like the author describes them having sex and all, but for a novel it is pretty racy IMO. That being said, they don't use any words that are regarded as vulgar. To avoid being censored.
