    ~The Challenge~

Find a word that splits into three, in such a way that all 6 sub-words are words.

Eg: SUN-SET-TED: sun, set, Ted, sunset, setted, sunsetted.
According to google all 6 are words... but I'm not happy with setted or sunsetted.
(Edit: Note that we also want the AB and BC to be words, if the final word is ABC)

Please find examples! They're needed... for science math! If I find one I like enough among your answers, there might be a prize!

    ~The Scoring~
    • Practicality: The shorter the word(s), the better. They'll be written in a long equations which I want to fit in a single line if possible. Maybe something that starts with so-me-? (mething is not a word!)
    • Words: Most of them should be words, ideally all of them, but scoring enough in other areas might justify using non-words. For example, if it's funnier than abs-o-lute. Also, common words are preferred (pre-fur-red?).
    • Fun! If it's funny... it might be even better! Especially if joining the words drastically changes the meaning. You know? Like the fun in dysfunctional.
    • Theme: circles, lines, space, distance, order. If it fits this theme, you'd definitely get extra points.
Also, lazily adding -es/-s is boring, we've got no need of such catch-phrase-s.
    ~The Context~
I'm writing a maths paper which I'll try to get published. While discussing a side issue, an example of such a word would be super nice to give a fun intuition. The problem is that I'm not great with words... sun-set-ted is the best I could come up.
The journal states that they want their articles to "inform, stimulate, challenge, enlighten, and even entertain", which is why the word being entertaining or thematic would make it even better.
The article is about "partial cyclic orders", among other things.
    ~The Prize~
If enough people give good ideas, and I end up deciding to use one of them in my paper, I would be happy to give a prize to the winner.
They would not be mentioned in the paper though..
But instead I would make an instrumental song for them, inspired by their word(s). No vocals because I can't sing though. It would be sort of like a commission; the winner would get all the rights to that song, and would be able to do whatever with it. About 2-4mins, here's an example of one I've done before.
Alternatively, I could draw something, or write a poem... but I would not guarantee results!
    ~Edit~
Who wants the goal posts to be moved?
    • "Bad words": They're not gonna win(*), but it can still be fun to consider them! But if so, at least something on the level of ass-ass-in.
    • Other languages: They're not gonna win(*), but I think it's great to consider them. Especially since NUF attracts people of many different languages. In this case, I challenge y'all to find words which split into words... with many languages involved!

    For example... SO-LE-DAD
    - Soledad = solitude in Spanish.
    - So, sole, dad words in English
    - le = the in French
    - ledad = articulate in Swedish apparently?

We'll have to admit some languages are kinda cheating. If there's any more of them, it would be nice to know of them... for science!

(*) (If I end up picking one for my paper, that would be the winner. In order to be in the paper, it'd have to be still proper enough, and preferably in English)

Sorry, you left a huge, and kind of ironic, opening...
    - to think
Has 3 words in it (
木) for wood, (目) for eye, (心) for heart

So I have 1 character total.

    yeah
but the translation has potential to be funny!
    Flugzeugtür -> Flug(flying/flight) zeug(stuff/things) tür(door)
and now observe the reactions the non-germanspeakers have to that! though, the internet makes that part kinda hard~

Oh man I've found a good one.

Discordance! Disc-or-dance. Almost disco and dance, but the r needs the o from disco. Pity!

Names are kinda cheating. Per is actually also a Scandinavian name, not just a preposition. Maybe a word out of three names, would be cool.
Yeah, that's how I originally intended it. I edited it in right before you clicked reply or something, it shows in the quote.

    Asinine.

I feel dumb like a donkey right now, not thinking of that word earlier.

    Asinus is Latin for donkey.

No! :blobtired:I'm willing to offer some of my time and work, but not some of my hard earned nuffies!
    ...
Ok...:blobpensive: there might be nuffies in offer, but only if it's like... a-maze-ing!

"Counterclockwise"... I'd give this like 10,000 points in theme! It's got lots to do with the article, I should've thought of that (I've already written that word so many times...). It's too long though :blobsob: I'll think about it, and I'll try to fit it...

Thanks for the many, many suggestions!
If you keep finding more, the main idea is to have ABC, A, B, C, AB and BC to be words, the more common, the better.
For example, I really like the per-son-al; per, son, person and personal are great common words. Al and Sonal might be more uncommon (Sonal apparently is a name).
