Hey all, I recently read a novel where the female lead comes from a well to do family. Her mom came from a military family. The female lead is lazy and has the reputation that she is ugly and has no skills. Because of this reputation she is ordered by the emperor to marry the emperors nephew who seems very bookish but is actually devious and has a secret lair in his study where he tortures people. There were events within : her older female cousin (who she's not that close with) being divorced from a guy who treats her terribly and somehow the female cousin falls in love with the ML MC doesn't like night pearls The emperor's son is terrible and lawless. The emperor may have slept with his son's wife and that resulted in her getting pregnant. Etc Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
