So I'm currently trying out the translation test for ML (Mobile Legends for those who don't care for it lol) and I'm stumped with this particular Chinese word [国士无双] which they translated in English as [Peerless Patriot] which I'm kind sketchy about since it feels like there's a nuance there that can't be captured in the Eng languange.

so I'd really appreciate if veteran chinese translators would lend a hand. I've only translated jpn to eng before and I've never done chinese to eng to jpn. I'd like to do my best if I can without butchering anyone's language.

It's an idiom. Less about the patriot, more about the peerless. Like literally without a peer. A unique talent in the country.
I just looked it up on baike.

Since you usually translate, it's just another 四字熟語

ok so if I were to translate it in jpn should I also translate it as an idiom or do I go for the adjective? It's an achievement title so I'm not sure which one I should go for

Is the title unique? Then use the idiom. Otherwise the adjective.

It has a wiki page. I'd say you very well can just leave it as is. Granted, it probably only exists due to Mahjong.
