Hi guys, I am looking for great chinese romance novels. The protagonist can be female, but I prefer male. I watched The general and I, the legends and the legend of Fuyao and really enjoyed it. They were adapted feom novels which is why I want great novels that haven’t been adapted. I want: Badass main lead Great romance Wuxia, xianxia Short, under 300 chapters

But if you are looking for Chinese novel with good romance and male protagonist xianxia / wuixia, you are looking for unicorn. Male protagonist with that kind of requirements usually has more than 500 chapter
The Return of the Condor Heroes It scores highly on all the criteria except that it's a lot longer than you might think even though it only has 40 chapters. This book is also super famous and you'll see writers everywhere borrow ideas from it. And even though it's an old book, it still does a bunch of things that still have yet to be topped. And yeah, it's been adapted a million times, but only a few of these are particularly good adaptations. For example, this book has one of the best fight scenes ever but none of the adaptations have ever done it justice.
I am okay with female protagonist, but I lose interest when male love interests grows like weed. I want the male and female leads to only love the other. Although its okay if one or two fall in love with female or male lead, but their love isn’t reciprocated.
