Discussion Chores and baseless specific detestations

Heya guys, its me again with a random thread!~

Now, first of all, I probably have to explain what i mean with the title; chores obviously refers to the things you have to do in the house, but the detesting part is probably a bit unclear.
Basically everybody i talked to about house chores, had something they didnt like. Be it washing the dishes, hanging up the laundry or folding it, there is usually something they dislike, and there isnt really any reason they can state as to why.

So that made me think; could it be we focus our dislike of chores in general on one specific task so we van do the others easier?
Does that thought even make sense? No idea
But now I'm interested in the variois things out there different people dislike about chores and naturally your thoughts on what i just said!

I dont mind sweeping but I dislike gathering the swept dust since I always feel like I miss some.

Also, I dislike cleaning the tabletop since its wood instead of something smooth I can peer at horizontally to check if its clean.

Don't mind vacumming but clearing out the middle of the vaccum is always messy.

 

washing the dishes cause im the only kid who does it most of the time. mosty all chores cause sometimes the others get away with doing nothing (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

 

I hate anything that involves moving

 

I don't do any house chores

 

You don't clean clothes off your room floor?

 

Tiring and my back aches....I am a old woman ​

 

I don't throw them in the room floor I keep them in place

Well maybe I do minor ones or my own stuff...

 

Making my bed - complete waste of time... when am i gonna bring home a girl to impress with a well made and organized bed? And if I do, will she care?

 

Congrats, you do chores and they are normal enuf for you that you dont have an ingrained irrational cultural predjudice against doing your share.

 

....I don't make my bed. I do make others bed since it makes em smile.

 

Slimy avoid the toilets~

 

Why?

Cleaning toilets is quite fun.

You get a dilited bottle of bleach, and *SPRAY SPRAY SPRAY EVRYTHING*

 

Uhhh. You just get used to doing them after a while. Still don’t really like cleaning the toilet though... even if I’m already used to it.

I don't think I actually have any chores that I detest with no reason. The only 2 that particularly annoy me that I can think of are
It annoys me to wash up dishes after eating since I'm in lethargic mood after filling up so I usually do most of them before I eat.
Cleaning dust annoys me mainly cause of all the sneezing.

 

I hate cleaning because I'd have to get close to stuff that's unclean
but if I don't clean then there will be more stuff that's unclean

it's a vicious cycle

 

i always hated touching other peoples stuff, like clothing or dishes. always just did my own and let everything else lie there for weeks (since only i cared)

 

I don't like doing any chore someone has commanded me to do, and I'll usually skip doing those on principle, even if it harms me. I do perfectly fine when it comes to anything I decide to do.
