    You could find something for them to enjoy

    For ex. I made a comprehensive list of all things anime/LN/manga, bc the person I gave it to is to lazy to look for such things himself... 1 year later not even a 10th of a way through.

    I came back to this thread because I'm disappointed in the lack of attention my previous reply got. I felt it deserved more Likes, to be honest, and maybe a quote or two. Oh well.. Time to try again, right!?

    So this time I'm going to suggest you ask them what they're getting you, first, and then carefully add up the amount being given to you in terms of cash, gift cards, returnable gifts and gifts you will actually keep and potentially even use. Once you know how much each person is spending on you, you can deliberately spend an equal amount on them, so you break even.     I was given a hot choclate set before
    It had a mug (it was shaped where the bottom had a larger area than the top to keep hot drinks hot)
    A spoon with chocolate
    And a hot water bottle
    (It May had something else but I can’t remember)

    Anyways it was really cute so I really liked it

    I was also given a glow necklace with a real beetle inside it.

    Something practical they can use like duct tape, rope, burlap sacks, tie straps, and a shoe extender so they can use a larger sized shoe to throw off the polic...I mean, hehe, buy clown shoes. Yeah, clown shoes. :blobowoevil_horns:

    The mug idea is good one. You could also add other things to take it to the next level. Maybe add hot chocolate or tea, maybe even coffee. You could add candies like candy canes or other Christmas candies. Wrap it up with plastic with a big bow.

    Another idea like the mug is a Christmas ornament that’s personalized words on it. You usually find people at the mall doing that. And it’s pretty cheap.
