Great! I still have to continue the spoilers to the end. I haven’t finished the epilogue either but I know they have fraternal twins (boy and girl) and we get to see them as little kids. The girl seems calmer than the boy.
Spoiler: Cecio’s title I don’t think Cecio intends to keep his title. It was begrudgingly given to him through a deal to heal Monarch’s husband. Both the husband and wife are trash. No joke. The way they treat Cecio even now is like people who dislike him very much. The whole deal and their behavior was very hostile so I don’t think Cecio wants anything to do with them. He simply wanted to remain a noble so that he can marry Terryll without the status of a commoner. The people in the north looks at him as unworthy of Terryll. Terryll even retaliated against one of the young noblemen in the north because he was belittling Cecio at a banquet her father threw for her. Her father also feels that Cecio is unsuitable for her. However, Cecio does heal Terryll’s mother to completely healthy so maybe that gave him some points. Terryll’s guard also thought Cecio was okay only after he attempted to destroy the world in his grief over her. He was literally controlling the weather with his mood. It’s Terryll who arrive in time to cover his mouth so he wouldn’t destroy the world.
Haha, I called it! Well I wanted to catch up with the manhwa before checking the spoilers. I'm a sucker for a good ending. Still wish there was some revenge had on Cesio's crap parents, but I'll just fantasize about it. Thanks for all the great spoilers, I'm really enjoying this story.
Spoiler: Additional north event While Cecio and Terryll were in the north, after escaping the imperial guards who showed up abruptly at the succession ceremony, Terryll took Cecio to see the North Sea. While there, Cecio shows Terryll a movie-like image of traitors within the Rihan estate in the north. They see her mother’s maid, Leah, who receives instructions from Tanitar’s people to release a prepared curse on Duke Rihan. Leah is also instructed to release a signal in the air if she succeeds. This will inform Tanitar’s people that Duke Rihan is dead. Spoiler: Events after Terryll was arrested through end of main story Terryll is imprisoned in the palace dungeons. She’s well prepared for this moment because earlier in the story, her father had gifted her a doppelgänger body. This is why she willingly walked into Tanitar’s scheme. Rihan’s intelligence also suspected that Tanitar was working on a curse to attack Rihan so both father and daughter have doppelgangers. While in prison, Terryll prepares herself. Her friend, Loptina visits her. She’s worried about Terryll. Loptina really came to the palace to cover herself and her family because she knows Tanitar will look for his son who disappeared. Unfortunately, Loptina doesn’t know that the son escaped her dungeon because he was always prepared against magic in advance against his father. Anyway, Loptina plays her part to act innocent before Tanitar. After her meeting with Tanitar, Loptina hears about Terryll’s arrest and goes to visit her. While there, they talk about Jemon and Loptina says she intends to dissolve the engagement and it was never her intention to actually go through with the marriage. Jemon happens to hear this as he comes to visit Terryll. Loptina is escorted out of the dungeon and Jemon is allowed in Terryll’s prison cell. It’s because Tanitar promised him if he put the curse on Terryll, he will restore his position. Jemon doesn’t go through with Tanitar’s plan so the assassins hidden in the roof reveal themselves to kill Terryll but she knocks all of them out. During this time, Jemon asks Terryll if she really loves Cesio. Terryll doesn’t answer and Jemon realizes her silence is the answer that she does love Cesio. Terryll takes out her doppelgänger and tells Jemon to put the curse on it so that he doesn’t die since if he doesn’t pass on the curse, he will die. Terryll is forced to take a sword and stabbed all the unconscious assassins to death in order to prevent them exposing her plan to Tanitar. Jemon wanted to do it for Terryll but she refused. She knows this is something she has to do herself. It looks like this is the first time she’s killing someone. Afterwards, she escapes the dungeon and leaves the doppelgänger behind. Jemon also reports to Tanitar that he accomplished his mission. Tanitar is overjoyed. He also hears news from the north that the maid killed Duke Rihan with the curse. This is untrue because the duke was prepared and prior to leaving the north, Cesio had already shown Terryll the identity of Tanitar’s spy using his power. However, Tanitar’s man saw the symbol in the sky that signaled the successful killing of the duke so he doesn’t know the truth. Anyway, the dude is overjoyed and it soon spreads throughout the capital that Terryll is dead. Now, Cesio doesn’t know that Terryll had a doppelgänger. Terryll forgot to tell him her plan so this leads to awful things. As days pass and Terryll doesn’t show up before Cesio, he starts to believe she really died. He decides to infiltrate the palace to find out for himself but to find a secret passage, he has to go through the captain of the imperial guard which is that grandmother whose grandson Cesio healed. She wouldn’t help him until he revealed his power. The grandmother was so surprised and knew right away that Cesio was imperial blood. Cesio also tells her that it was Tanitar who poisoned her grandson. That same Tanitar is now crowning himself as emperor and is demanding that all the important nobles attend his coronation now that the Rihans are dead. Grandmother gives Cesio the secret passages to the imperial palace. She realizes Cesio intends to take the throne if he wants. Cesio enters the palace and finds the doppelgänger. It looks just like Terryll. He’s very upset and heartbroken about it. This leads him to genuinely begin a coup. He starts to build up good deeds by killing a lot of cruel people including nobles and saving their victims. News of his deeds spread throughout the capital. Meanwhile, Terryll doesn’t know any of this as she waits for the knights from the north. She’s also suffering from the fact that she killed the assassins in cold blood. She had already reported the information about her mission completion to the north. Therefore, her father shows up in person because he heard how affected she had sound through the communication. Father and daughter talk about the first time he killed someone. The father hugs Terryll and Terryll asks him if his father comforted him that way too. He says no way. lol The father then tells Terryll that she had better go stop her fiancé who is wreaking havoc in the capital. This is the first time Terryll hears about what Cesio is doing. As for Cesio, he successfully infiltrated the palace with his men and show up at Tanitar’s coronation. Nobles like Loptina, the grandmother captain of the guards and many others are there. Cesio and Tanitar confront each other. To Tanitar’s great shock, and perhaps those who has heard of Cesio’s power, he’s thwarted by Cesio. Everyone there is also surprised that Cesio can actually talk. Tanitar’s son comes in with Terryll’s doppelgänger which he found in the secret passage way when he secretly returns to the palace for the princess who despises him. Cesio had left the doppelgänger in the secret passageway to come back and retrieve it later but the son found it. When Cesio sees what he thinks is Terryll’s body, he loses it again as his men and Tanitar’s men begin to fight. Cesio uses his power and is able to get Terryll’s body from the Tanitar’s. He hugs her and the weather starts to feed off his feelings as the winds start to blow, the skies darken, and generally, it feels like the end of the world. All the nobles are scared and it truly looks like something phenomenal is happening with the weather. When Cesio opens his mouth to destroy the world, Terryll appears just in time to cover his mouth with her hand. Everybody is shocked to see Terryll alive. She and Cesio have an emotional reunion and then she deals with Tanitar as the noble charged with defending the throne and quelling rebellion. The problem is, Cesio was also starting a rebellion right in front of the nobles. Well, it pretty much gets covered up and for the rest, Cesio uses his power and put a gag on their mouths. That means they can never talk about what they witnessed there. Tanitar in put in jail awaiting trial and execution. The princess is rescued and she becomes the temporary emperor. She oversees the demotion of Cesio’s adopted family from nobles to commoners. However, for Cesio, it’s immediately announced that he’s adopted by the duke who is the husband of Monarch, his biological mother. This is the deal Cesio struck with Monarch in order to heal her bitter, ungrateful husband. Cesio could have fully healed him but refused to do it. He thinks if he had fully healed the bitter man, Monarch would not agree to become the emperor. Anyway, Cesio will inherit the duke title and he only took this route because it would make it easier to marry Terryll. Terryll doesn’t care about the title but Cesio doesn’t want others to look down on her or talk about her because of his status. After things are handled in the capital, the couple leaves for the north and the rest of their story continues in the epilogue which I still need to read as of today. Jemon and his mother are commoners but Terryll had prepared a place for the mother for Cesio’s sake. Loptina took the title for her family and the princess gets to live her life freely after giving up the throne. Cesio’s adopted father and brother are both executed. Tanitar hasn’t been executed as yet because he is supposed to be transferred to the north for Terryll’s father to send him off properly.
So was Jemon executed or no? Cause it sounded like a yes. But if his presence helps the adoptive mother then I hope he lives. He did a lot to protect her when she wasn't well. More than the scum husband who honestly needed trampling.
I haven’t read it yet. It’s most likely in the epilogue which I have to start to read again especially since I would like to know about OTP marriage, twins and family dynamics.
so the mc's mom and dad just have a happy ending like that? dawg if I were her I'd focus my revenge on my parents, not some puny loser ex of mine. jfc I'm so mad and now I'm gonna be mad the entire night ugh
Why should she focus her revenge on her parents? Her dad didn't do anything wrong. Her mom left her dad before she was born and the dad was under a magic contract so he couldn't look for her for 20 years. I wasn't for not trying, he literally couldn't. What warrants revenge??
A ML who is supposedly disabled but isn't and just pretends..... It's not a good look/message. Reminds me of the trash manhua 'Mind-Reading Princess' where the ML is hampered but eventually gets cured by the FL..... Do actual handicapped MLs exists in the FanRomDra Genre??
So the people who read the manhwa and the novel, is the manhwa close to the end? I want to read it but
