Claymore is one of the rare anime that I think is equal or even better than the manga, it s a guge feat in itself. At the time that much blood was becoming rare , since they were a period when they reduce bloodbath by huge amount. The story is a bit lacking but it s more the fault of the manga , the anime still an adaptation. Nevertheless I ve seen worse story than this one. I would rate Claymore 7/10 it s was a good anime, I think a season 2 would have been good , they had enough materials for it.
haven't watched yet, but i liked the manga. if it is half as good as the manga it is still pretty good...

If they can make the anime follow the same story as the manga just like FMA Brotherhood, then that would be awesome!
i rate the anime up till it diverged from the manga 10/10, after the divergent i rate it 1/10, also while on claymore topic i rate the manga 10/10
the manga is very good, the anime is good but in the end it run away of the manga, if they were loyal to the manga would be better
Why a 1 for when it diverged? I get people are purist and like the original story, but even still the anime never went downhill.
I watched the anime... And i read the manga. If they were to make the anime like the manga i will bank in over the anime. The Season 1 Claymore is a bit disappointing, but yeah, i did watch it all over again.. Especially the OS & ES quite catchy
Personally I dont think my 7/10 is overatted , if I had never read the manga it could have gone to 8/10. As for the manga I could visualize the scene esier thank to the anime^^.
Likewise, mangas like claymore(or the one that truly vexs me (ID fusion fantasy) Tend to have alot going on in their scenes, if you dont know what to look for you end up getting lost in the cycle of black and white.
Its not bad. Though it have different ending and felt rushed. It still have good animation in its fights.
The concept of claymore is truly a unique one I'd say. It always got me how (btw a lil spoiler) a talented due to the fear of the number 1 most powerful became the number 1 most powerful awaken. I'd say although some parts are dull in the manga I wasn't dissatisfied with the ending. Though I prefer the anime's ending over manga because Claire was the one to mostly fight even though those random power ups in the middle of battle were cliche and so shounen.
it felt rushed at the time and never sat well with me afterwards personally..... not to mention it didn't do a good job portraying the limit/obstacles clare had to pass due to priscilla being much much weaker in the anime than in the manga at least compared to how the author wanted it. like i said this is how i feel about it thus it is an opinion you are free to disregard it or refute it if you wish.
It had to do that, since the anime caught up to the manga at the time, and had to create an ending for the show.
