Cleaning up tags on NU V2.0

it depends on how you define it, you can define it as -
harem - harem constisting of multiple girls for da mc
rev harem - harem consisting of multiple boys for da mc

and well I would rather not have bl mess grouped in the already overflowing harem tag

 

In all honesty, the tag reverse harem is completely pointless IMO, it should be pretty intuitive to know how the harem works for the most part.

Harem Genre + Male Protag -> Lots of Girls for MC
Harem Genre + Female Protag -> Lots of Guys for MC
Harem Genre + Yaoi -> Lots of Guys for MC
Harem Genre + Yuri -> Lots of Girls for MC

So... I don't even see the point of the Reverse Harem tag in the first place, so I don't see why BL novels would need it.

 

Um I have a question, How loose is Mecha genre definition?

 

only if its a main focus of the novel. Otherwise we have tags like automations and adroids depending on the situation

 

And you didnt get my question. Till what extent is a machine with humans inside it considered mecha on nu?

 

The definitions quite loose actually. As long as the novel involves machines it can be considered mecha. mecha here doesn't refer only to machines with humans inside in this case

 

Okay then, City series is getting mecha genre then!

 

Well how loose is definition of the tag, folklore? (for starters it doesnt have a definition).
Does it mean that the story is heavily based on a real world folklore? It has lots of real world folklore references? What about books where there are fictionally, ie made up folklores?

 

Can we have a steampunk tag?

 

I've added a Face Slapping tag. Since I don't like face slapping, I want to be forewarned when that's going to be in a novel. I hope you can help me out by using this tag when appropriate.

 

If you don't like face slapping, I suggest that you read JP only. More precisely, JP LN.

 

Face slapping doesnt work as a tag. Not only is it pretty subjective, tags almost all cn novels but also that it doesnt specify anything at all.

 

It’s a little hard to determine the degree of face slapping. It usually happens at least once in each novel.

Try to avoid revenge titles and you should be able to avoid the ones with too much repetition and face slapping.

 

I'd puke blood if a tag like that survived while many others were cleaned up... >.>

 

In my sleep deprived state I read that as I'll have a puke blood before that... I should go sleep

 

hey i was looking at tags list & i edited this novel tags (didn't read the novel, just checked for typo)
there's a unique storyline tag, quest tag..not sure what that means. probably a new tag, i left them alone.

 

In those cases, I recommend trying to check the Edit Logs to see if the weird tags were added recently... If they were, they're probably safe to remove.

 

..oh wow.. there might be tags edits war there.. so many removed & added..
