I've just read chapter 249 and the author's note on 248. What? It would have been better if the author killed the 36 angelic whatever warriors. He had a lot of opportunity to do so during the war. I've read chapter 249 and it seems they are really going to betray him. My last chapter to read is 250 and I'm done depending on it. A lot of inconsistencies and I've already stated my piece on the previous posts as to why. The inconsitencies are more than what other WN I've read so far -- this is the only one I keep track on so far aside from CSG lol. I bet it's double cross as what a poster have stated. Let's see . . . Really? He was targetting the big trade routes FYI all throughout the storyline! Doesn't taking away Duo Mei makes it longer? She's the only member of the whatever color angelic corps aside from Suo Jia.

That prince was more of a trash than we thought Anyway, looks like we don't have to fear any NTR scene because of the prince... I mean Emperor, anymore now ahahahaha It's unclear if the 36 fire-wind warriors were part of the 400+ beautiful virgins before his thing fell off though...
I am a bit conflicted. Ok the Prince going/being evil yea the signs were there and its plausible. But Wen Ya for some reason what was written doesn't really show a evil minded/hearted person. Her action seem more like a blind woman in love with a really bad man. 36 girls....I hope he didn't do anything to them I mean they were bound to the empire at birth and indoctrinated to follow royalty. SJ should be thankful that in the truest sense they didn't betray him [they could have captured him but didn't] and hell right now they probably will never be as strong as they once were, their souls are gone and they lack purpose/desire. So I hope they will get a shot at redemption. Now then [unless we see it in part 2 chapter] wonder what happened to Emperor[old] and the Empress[old], Emma and Duke Wen Ya Sha. Emma didn't do anything [that we know of] and she needs SJ to do a yearly check-up.
I've not read this for a while, missed all the betrayals. Liking these chapters though. What method are they gna use to free the kids?
I believe that MC is going do something to the mage with his water control ability similar to the prince and Wen Ya. Then basically tell him to let the kids go or he will not continue to live on with his current life.
So looks like the author does listen to the readers. Spoiler Some really long and pointless Author’s Note…tl;dr, the Angelic Six-Winged Phoenixes at some point left the Fourth Prince and are currently searching for Suo Jia on the Greater Trade Routes, because after writing so much about them, how could they just disappear?
Chapters 247-248. It was a lesser betrayal (i.e. didn't actively attack the MC) compared to all his other "allies". Afterwards they became lost, confused, and longed for MC so this development makes some sense. What made me originally mad was this Author's note (Chapter 250). My earlier post was in regards to the author reversing his stance on this statement. At that time in the story, Nicole was only a minor named character (and tortured prisoner) and Roger was a new subordinate of MC. The Angels where major characters with about 1/3 of the novel dedicated to them with their leader named with character development (and actively considered herself the first or main mistress of MC). Now, Nicole is the main girl and Roger is still on his mission to rescue his family. However the Angels were basically left without a master (Chapters 249-250) and lost all direction in their lives. For the Angels to leave the imploding royal family makes some sense, at least to me.
Spoiler: Where things stand now The Angels, the Earth-raptor knights, spear knights, maids from his health spa, Holy City lord's daughter, and 4th prince all turned on MC. Be extension, he lost the ability to control the girls in his class and right to command his city. However before the betrayal, MC had his two water mage girlfriends take his mom back to his original home town. The classmates are now guarding his mother until MC can see them again. Then 4th prince forces the emperor and empress to step down. We are not told what happened to them. 4th prince and Holy Light Lord's daughter undergo side effects of MC's body enhancement, which leaves both of them total wrecks. MC left for another kingdom and hires Nicole (the thief that stabbed the MC, captured, and then tortured during the siege arc) to be his escort. Roger is still MIA. Dwarves seem to still like MC after the betryal which seems like a good thing.
