What I want is that the MC is in a system world/vrmmorpg whatever with game-like stats and skills. The catch is that mc should be a non-magic type up and close fighter Some that ive read that are similar: Nova Terra:Titan Reincarnator Defiance of the Fall The New World Eight Dungeon Crawler Carl
The Ultimate Evolution MC is a "tank", though he doesn't play in the traditional sense, he's more like a high HP + high Damage fighter, so more like an "off tank". Anyway, he fight with a two-handed sword for the most part of the novel. Also, the 7 chapter prologue is complete ass. If you get bored of it either push through or tbh just skim read or completely skip it. All the important details will be filled in when they matter anyway.
If you can find it, Reincarnation Of The Strongest Sword God, rssg, has a great swordsman MC with tons of really interesting close combat. But it's a vrmmo and some items have abilities that are like magic spells, and there are mages, so if magic is an absolute no then pass on it. It's a great one with like 2,500+ chapters, one of the most interesting vrmmo ones I've read by far!
Virtual World: Close Combat Mage - vmmo, MC was gifted a game account already set with a mage character instead of the warrior he was planning to choose because he's a hardcore martial artist in real life. After getting over his disappointment, he just treats it like hard mode with a gimp body. He does do an agility only build so his character can at least somewhat display close to his real reaction speed.
It's actually pretty good, but insanely repetitive. Also the novel has been in hiatus for almost a year, because of the Author's health issues, ever since MC became Tier 4
I've been following this novel since it was 500 chapters in. the first 1000 were fantastic, but the author ran out of inspiration after that and the quality crashed . It has recently resumed uploading
Yup, I tend to read it in chunks of a few hundred chapters. The beginning was amazing, but then it got real repetitive, with incredible moments here and there - I've found reading chunks then stopping for awhile helps make it way better! To this day it's got the most interesting items I've ever read about.
