Doesn't make sense for the next line 峰非上楼，确定海秀乖乖的在客厅看电视后，将自己卧室的门关上，飞快的走到窗前，拿起刚放在那边的海秀的书包。 He went upstairs. After making sure that Hai Xiu was obediently watching television in the living room, he closed the door of the bedroom. He quickly walked to the window and picked up Hai Xiu’s bag.
Does make sense for that line. It's saying that he turned on the TV and also gave the psp to Hai Xiu. Hai Xiu then chose to watch the tv rather than playing the psp. By "play on your own" they mean watch tv OR play the console.
Translation itself is correct, it seems it's the author's issue here that he ignored the psp in the following line. Only suggestion I would make is to use "dug out" or "found" instead of "retrieved".
