Should I go with my cheapa$$ knockoff Link outfit, not complete with Hylian Shield and Master Sword? Should I go as Sans from Undertale, even though the mask smells funny and the jacket is hot and it's Summer in Arkansas? Should I just wear that Legend of Zelda dress I have, complete with my Kokiri Emerald pendant and The One Ring To Rule Them All? Or, perhaps, I should just wear jeans and a nerdy t-shirt, like every day of my life, as if I haven't been looking forward to this since the last one ended? I've been saving up for this for months so that I can meet and get an autograph from Kevin Sorbo (Hercules!), Monica Rial (so many anime characters!!), Kevin Conroy (the Batman I grew up with!!!), and frickin Sean Astin, himself (THE Samwise Gamgee!!!!!)!!!!! Beast Boy's voice actor and Deku Midoriya will be there too. Realizing they'll forget me as soon as I walk away, I still don't want to feel too self conscious when I meet them. Hmm. It should be the Sans outfit. I can cover my acne riddled face with the mask and seem slightly thinner with the blue hoodie. But then I might die of heat exhaustion...and I'll be getting looks from those who think all fans who like Undertale are trash...hmm...but I actually am...? Nevermind. Please tell me which outfit idea, if any, is the least cringey.
Just wear the jeans with nerdy shirt. Just add a bit more like wearing a character based cap like Link's cap and maybe elven ears. No need do dress up. Especially if you'll gonna look like an incomplete mess due to the heat.
...I’m not jealous. *pout* You’re jealous. *pout* I agree with the above. Jeans and nerdy shirt. Comfortable is best.
I suggest combining both outfits (Zelda and Link) or go with the Jean and shirt and add on the blue hoodie or you choose some other combination (just because it is ComiCon, it doesn't mean that you can't be creative)
Find some cardbox, paint it in brownish colour then put some white in the side, top and bottom, voilaaaa...you are a skill book that exist in every comic book heheheheheh
Bring normal wear. It's really nice to have a stark difference between the cosplayers/actor and you (also when you decide to take pics). And you'll never think too much about your clothes anyways once you're there.
The most comfortable option is my advice. No point going if you are going to suffer and just ruin the costume with sweat in the first hour in. But if you want to make a big impression I suggest a jim carrey t-shirt with all of his faces in movies. Like the ahegao tshirt except him making that creepy smile all over.
Your outfit doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that you wear deodorant. Please for gods sake wear that deodorant. Matter of fact bring that deodorant with you everywhere you go, or even better cosplay as a deodorant. For some reason a large amount of mofos at conventions hate taking baths or wearing deodorant. Don't be like those guys.
I'd say comfy clothes fit for the weather and the mask you like. But I wouldn't ask me for an opinion, since I've lost all my enthusiasm for conventions and barely drag myself there to meet my friends instead of for the 'celebs' they bring.
I agree with the people that are saying to dress casual. It’s better to be comfortable than sweaty. The goal is to have fun. You don’t won’t to feel sick from the heat on your special day. You’ll be able to do and see more if your comfortable.
I've never been to one of those, but from what I hear and read, too many people in a small space is a problem on a hot day. So I vote against the Undertale cosplay. Plus, no matter how nice something looks, if you sweat buckets in it, the sweat smell will probably make a bigger impression on the people you meet with than your costume will.
