Yeah, from chapter 4 we already knew that her father only wanted her to be safe from the civil war when he planned to send her to the church and it was not a punishment. And since the royal family is in a power struggle, I guess the first prince faction will be delighted to see that the girl that the 2nd prince humiliated is now the most powerfull noble in the kingdom. It will probably mean that the 2nd prince faction will move against her as well.
Chapter 19 is here! Who is "that guy" that Dida is talking about? The grandfather of Iris? I mean, he has power to summon Dida and the ability to fight him, so, shoudn't he be that general?
Oh, I see. So Dida don't like Ryle? Or is just a rough way to adress a friend? ' And chapter 20 is here! Grandfather seens like he heard about Iris feats and is like "Damn! I better bring her to the Anderson House! She will make our house a fortune!" and mother is like "Oh, hell, no! You want someone, take that bitch Berne¹ and relieve our house of a problem!" XD ¹ BTW, "Berne" in Brazil is a larval parasite, very nasty, that you can get from a local blowfly species. How befiting of a name for that parasite of a brother, huh? P.S.: hey, Cat, thanks for the translations! =D
i dont think that it's that Dida doesn't like Ryle. I think Dida sees Ryle as maybe something like a drill instructor from hell XD i agree on the Grandfather angle. Also, i dont think Berne be succeeding the house at this rate. They might just break the standard and give it to Iris.
Don't know if she is a gold digger, but she certanly is not as simple as Iris thinks, don't you think that is very strange that she was able to entrance the son of the prime minister, the 2nd prince and the son of the leader of the knight order? It would be ok if it was three random guys and one of them turned out to be very powerfull, but all three guys? Nah, something is up here.
Think about it: - Son of the Knights Leader (military influence) - Countered by Iris' Grandfather - 2nd Prince (power in the country) - Countered by First Prince - Prime Minister's son (political influence) - Shunned by family for being a giant idiot. - Son of the Pope of the state religion (influence on the people. this one is an iffy chance though) - Don't know about this one though, but it's iffy if it can actually be used to influence the people. In theory, that would be everything you would need to take control of the country. Thankfully, most of that can be, or is, countered easily. I think that's a possibility, but i dont think it's the most likely possibility. I think there might be something fishy with Yuri's family.
It's not that he doesn't like Ryle, it's more like there's a friendly rivalry between the two. And you're welcome
What do you people think the 1st prince is doing incognito in the country? Gathering allies for a sucession war?
Checking up on the Nobles and other Figures, they may not have the pretenses that they would show for the First Prince, It could be to get an actual feel on them.
I really like this novel compared to another similar one (Haunted Duke's Daughter). Granted, the two novels focus on different things, and CSDD has a manga with pretty art to boot.
hate the short chapters but the story twist is interesting. cant say I have seen too many stories of reincarnating as the villain at the end of the story now where do you go from there angle
Chapter 21 is here! =D 2nd Prince is really a complete self-centered fool. To think that such a person would try to lead a country brings dread to my soul. The amazing thing is that this idiot probably thinks of himself as some heroic prince from legends. What a clown.
