    Greetings Nuffians! With the additions of new mods, we've finally got around to making our very first contest. And for our very first contest, it is about creating a logo for either the Novel Updates and the Novel Updates Forum!

    This contest is open to all! Nuffians, Active Users, Lurkers, and Random Guests alike!

    Mechanics Of The Contest: Each submission must contain at least one logo! You allowed to make one for the NU or one for the NUF, or you can make one for both!

    The Theme: It shall be about what the NU and the NUF is to you as a user!

    Rules For Submissions:
    • Logos must be Digital!
    • Logos must be in .png format!
    • Logo resolution must be a 200x200 pixels minimum!
    • Logos must follow the theme!
    • Logos must be your own original work!
      • No plagiarizing or stealing other logos!
      • No use of Copyrighted materials!
    • Participants are allowed to submit a maximum of two submissions.
      • Each submission must follow the mechanics for submission!
    • Don't make Troll or Gag Submissions!
      • We take this seriously and those who disobey this rule will get Warning Points!
    • If you are working in a group, please do mention them in your submission!

    Submissions for the Contest are open for Three Weeks! Deadline is in the 28th of August 2016!

    Note! The Logos in this format are just samples. It doesn't necisarily have to be a circle logo, be creative with your submissions!

    There will be a total of 6 winners, three for the NU and three for the NUF!

    Rewards: Winning logos will be made into medals! The winning artists will get the logo they made as a medal for their profile! Additionally, there is a chance Tony will incorporate it into NU/NUF as an official logo.

    Also! Only post on this thread if you wish to make a submission!

    After submitting and having your submission approved, you are free to alter/improve your logo, but please let me know that you have changed your logo. You are allowed to do so until the deadline for submissions!

    "Why is it so simple?" why don't ya read my name first? haha.

    Anyway, why it's so simple because Novel Updates it really simple website from outside but when you look inside ... hehe, there is many wonderful thing inside the community. "Don't judge book from its cover"
    Novel Updates are website that providing assistance to both translator and reader, basically it's like library community, this is why I choose Book shape.
    There is 15 Bookmark that represent the year when Novel Updates created. This Bookmark actually can be changed to Date and Month when Novel Updates created.
    The various colours of bookmarks also represent as various book genre, book origin and member of NU.
    The Light Blue color is similar like United Nation colour, it's can be represented as Unity. this is why I choose this color, because Novel Updates are created, supported by masses and also the unified of many translator and reader into one place

    Simple as that, and also I like simplicity the way Novel Updates right now, its looks neat but it's a bit dull to be honest, but let's leave it for future discussion about developing NU

    Took inspiration from Escapist's youtube videos for the character models. I will not mind if other people make something similar to this, or attempt to redraw this (do include my name if you are redrawing).
    I found out that both "nu" make a great ambigram and "nuF" is an okay mirror for "Fun", which coincides perfectly with the idea of another world. I am certain I can make a much better picture than these, but given my noob level of artistry and awkwardness with handling Adobe PS, I gave up. I mean, having two cat-beastpeople conversing on a mirror with words make for one amazing artwork, and sad story.
