I use the 'like' thing when I really like something or when I don't have something to say, but, in a way, I appreciate the time, effort and politness of the other person. SOmetimes, I use that like just to show that I've had read that conversation - some forums show you if someone else had read the conversation even if the haven't replied to it. Can't you use the 'star' option? What features? Where did you find them?
Wasn't the like limit a fault of Ldyrdy spamming someone via likes? I think it was something like that... I never understood what the "star" thing does. And as for the features, I'm talking about those changes to conversations, you can't like posts in convos or put prefixes on them without 100posts. Deleting and tagging it as "not show any future replies to this conversation".
But, I want to 'clean' up my Conversations box. I don't think that it was Ldlyrdy's cause or, not only his. I use it as a way to 'bookmark' my conversations.
Would be nice if we had a limit that doesn't stop us from liking! >.< Yeah, I don't think it was solely his fault, but it was partially his AFAIK. Bookmarking them? What do you mean? *tilts head*
Made some new tests, I can confirm what @GamingIce proclaimed before now (I think I said I confirmed the opposite before... Oops?), likes in conversations are directly linked to thread likes. Only difference is that conversation likes are unlimited, even so, you can run out of thread likes solely by using them on convos. (I gave the reasoning to Tony-chan on private as to how I confirmed it... I'm too lazy to post it here again...)
Go to an conversation of yours, a pm, click on it (read it). In the up right side of it is an option: star conversation. If you click that 'star conversation' that conversation will be 'stared'. After that, if you go again and visualize all the messages that you've received, you'll see that the message that you've starred has a black star at the right side of that PM. If you click on the star, you'll be directed to all your starred PMs.
You guys are just now confirming it? Only took me an hour or so.... and here you guys are.... a couple days later....
Well, you weren't clear on how you confirmed it, so... It was up to debate rather or not it was really confirmed... ... I wasn't clear here either though, since I'm lazy, but at least there is another person saying it, so it gains more strength! \(^^)/ I did say it properly on private though.
Good to know these kinds of information. I am new to this website and I'm pleasantly surprised I am seeing these relevant information on the latest Forum. *thumbs up
