The major issue that Fleeting Life was having problems parsing, as did the rest of the Chat Group, was that Doudou and FL's brother were both confirmed to be heterosexual.

Just picture you hear from someone close to you or you've known for years suddenly come up and tell you that they are getting married, to another person of their gender, and you know full well that they are straight and haven't even so much as looked at another member of their gender in that way, and not only that, but they are still heterosexual. Now wouldn't you consider foul play by the other party?

The reaction that we saw in FL is quite simply someone trying to figure out what the hell is going on...riiiiight before she got led into getting married by her Elder Brother who definitely knew what buttons to press.

If either Doudou or FL's Elder Brother were homosexual, then yeah, I'd agree with you that there's homophobia going on, but perhaps there isn't.
