    Most of the time, economic systems in cultivation novels are portrait as primitive, which is criminal, considering how much untapped potential there really is. Give me recommendations where this potential isn't wasted

    You absolutely can not look deeply into economies in Xianxias. If they had any actual depth, the authors wouldn't be able to handle it. Just like the society itself, a civilisation that revolves purely around violence shouldn't be able to sustain itself

    Never seen any xianxia using economics wisely. Though there are a few in wuxia genre that try a bit. Liket white-robed chief, silver Overlord and Joy of Life.

    Hmm, gonna assume that the currency for xianxias are Low/mid/high tier spirit stones. Generally these stones in the stories have intrinsic value that is separate from its economic value. There is no government intervention in the market so somehow everybody has decided on the currency’s value. What’s more, even though You may have enough crystals to upper convert them others may not want to sell. Therefore, the different tiers of spirit stones should be treated as separate currencies with varying exchange rates.
