    I forgot the name of the novel, but i remember it was at least top 200 on NU. Theres this kid who is shunned by his clan/sect or something.

    Which limits it to only about half of all xianxia novels.

    ...too vague. Plenty of shunned Xianxia MC's in the top 200.

    If that's all you remember, you might as well pick up a random Xianxia.

    ...In most cultivation novels there are a few settings that the most contain :

    1. Poor / Otherwise descending clan, can't really afford anything, even for geniuses.
    2. Decently powerful clan for the region, MC is really shunned / hated / despised / envied and they're a child of the clan leader / similarly powerful person.
    3. Decently powerful clan for the region ,MC isn't part of the 'elites', and is even more shunned and all the others mentioned in addition to the usual, and leading to problems from 'elitist' children.

    This description... Just wow! The only more non-specific descriptions I can think of is "I am looking for a novel where the main character was attacked because he didn't give someone face" or "The MC peeped on this jade-skinned peerless beauty who later became his woman".

    On a serious note my propositions would be to check on "bullying" and "clans" tags in NU.
