Why It Should Get Picked Up:
It's hard for me to put in words. Dai Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu is one of the earliest translations and a great read. Over its many volumes, the characters develop and grow on you. It reads rather similar to western fantasy, but stays humorous. The side-characters are never forgotten by the author, and they have their own roles. I picked it up after the anime left an unsatisfying ending, and have been dying to read the end since. The author is well-known and has written multiple hit works, but https://www.novelupdates.com/series/densetsu-no-yuusha-no-densetsu/ has always been particularly dear to me. Hopefully, someone with the time and skills can give this series the translation it deserves.
Description:
"Alpha Stigma" are known to be eyes that can analyze all types of magic. However, they are more infamously known as cursed eyes that can only bring destruction and death to others.

Ryner Lute, a talented mage and also an Alpha Stigma bearer, was once a student of the Roland Empire's Magician Academy, an elite school dedicated to training magicians for military purposes. However, after many of his classmates died in a war, he makes an oath to make the nation a more orderly and peaceful place, with fellow survivor and best friend, Sion Astal.

The summary looks generic, but I trust your eyes. Perhaps, the author made something great out of an ordinary plot.

I liked the anime. Ending was confusing af though.

I'd like this story to get finished as well. The story was definitely not generic. Same goes for the prequel and the side stories as well. The anime did cover parts of the prequal quite well but they left a few volumes and with that a rather important character out as well. Thus having the prequel would be nice.

 

I believe all 11 volumes of the prequel were translated, but DMCAed
