Spoiler: Personal opinion Because a lot of people dont like change, they view it as a threat. They use religion, cultural background, or skin color as excuses to push their agenda. As for why they blame the victims, it's because while they may be upstanding, honest, and decent individuals, they bring with them the stigma of those that have less savory morals. Much like Catholics bring with them the stigma of the inquisition, witch hunts, and child molesting priests. That being said... This thread shouldnt really be used for such serious discussions. Hypocritical as I may be after the statement above.
