Discussion Danmei Fanworks + Mini Challenges Event!

To all danmei readers out there, to celebrate our mutual love for danmei and help promote your favorite novels, it’s our absolute pleasure from the Danmei House discord server to bring you our first event: Danmei World-Hopping!

The event will be taking place in August with the theme of crossovers between danmei novels. Our event isn’t just limited to Creators; there’s plenty of mini-challenges prepared for you Cucumbers too! (yeah you read that right). You can even earn more coolness points (yup, that’s a reference too) by participating as both!

As a Creator, participate in our Fanwork Challenge on August 11-17 by writing a fic, making some fanart, or any other kind of fanwork–be it videos, gifs, memes, etc.–based on our fun prompts!

As a Cucumber, flood us with your opinions for our mini-challenges! A new challenge will be issued every three days for the whole month of August with a bonus challenge on the last day!

More details (along with the prompts and mini-challenges) will be issued soon in this thread, so stay tuned!

Nope, it's not only for fanworks. We'll be issuing mini-challenges for non-creators as well

Join as a Creator and create lovely fanworks based on our set prompts every day for a week! The fanwork-making event will begin on August 11 and will end on August 17, 2019.

Day 1 - Transmigration (August 11)
Ever imagined what it would be like if your favorite character from one novel gets transmigrated into the body of another character from a different novel? What if Shen Yuan from Scum Villain got transmigrated as Jiang Cheng from Mo Dao Zu Shi? Ha! Now Shen Yuan doesn’t have to worry about keeping face when he’s hella annoyed because it won’t be OOC!

Day 2 - Alternate Universe (August 12)
It’s AU time! Have the cast from one novel in the setting or plot of another. What happens to the characters is up to you! Will they diligently follow the script of the story, or will they completely mess it up (or maybe even a bit of both)? The choice is yours!

Day 3 - Rebirth
Is there a moment that completely broke your heart? Here’s your chance to change things around! Have a character from the novel go back in time and either fix a moment in canon, or completely derail the original plot.

Day 4 - Body “Sharing”
Just as the name suggests, have two characters from different novels share a body. Which body they end up in is up to you.

Day 5 - Free Day
Anything goes as long as it’s related to crossovers!

Day 6 - Crossover Ships
Love is in the air! Pick a ship you think would work well (or not) with two characters from different novels. For those that don’t have a ship but would like to participate, pick two characters from different novels you’d like to see meet.

Day 7 - Cannon Fodders
A day devoted to the canon fodder, side characters and villains of each series. Have any two (or more) of these characters (each from different novels) interact!
