so a few days ago i saw this thread about why only chinese people are reincarnated in wuxia novels so it got me thinking what if a moddle aged man from america died and was reincarnated in a cultivation based world So first the mc is a middle aged man called gary with a slight protruding belly who works at wallmart but gets into a work related accident and dies only to get reincarnated into a man that looked exactly the same as him but in a different world I also thought of a few scenarios of his small adventures [daoist gary is introduced to a spatial ring "well hey that's real neat wish I had that could of snuck in a ton of crap and i could of bought myself a bmw instead of a pickup"] [daoist gary sees cold and aloof peerless beauty pats random cultivator next to him on the shoulder and says he's got this walls up to peerless beauty "well hello their did hurt when you fell from heaven cause you my dear is an angel" peerless beauty blushes cause cultivators don't flirt and its her first time bein hit on ] [daoist gary is being told how to cultivate "so your telling me I'm supposed to take a bunch a bunch of energy and shove it onto a floating ball inside of me that's not really inside of my and I can only sense and not see and then meditate on an invisible energy that no one can see or explain anf I have to do this for thousands of years while being a virgin cause it will help me so I can become immortal which Is basically an old man in swishy robes with really long eyebrows well nope I'm gana go get a beer"]
That's really look's like a parody of chinese cultivation story... Please create it, i would love to read it if someone create this setting. Also, it'll be best if the man that died never read a novel, watch anime, watch fantasy movie, and watch heroic movie and let him look dumb while trying to understand cultivation... I think the best part would be the fact that doaist Gary doesn't understand what "face" means like imagine some young Lord wants to but a treasure from him an he's tells him that he better give him face but daoist Gary doesn't know what face is but he pretends he does so he just starts taking out random things and handing it to him and then smiles
not really sure if chinese mythos have the concept of an angel (that is more judo-cristian) but that would really be a short novel after you make all the tropes you can remeber, best example current are my disciple die again, where after the first 3 arcs those joke were already all told so it just turn into a bad xianxia
If this is ever written the audio book MUST be read by Leo of Youtube's "Leo takes a look..." fame. I mean, it wouldn't match with the MC at all, but this is the rule now that his name is Gary. Edit: because I thought an example necessary.
