So I was just browsing the web looking for some novels to read, actual books, (not that the stories here aren't actual books) when I remembered this old series that I read and decided to look it up. I was surprised to find out it had a manga. Book is Cirque du Freak. Manga is Darren Shan. I recommend reading the book but haven't read the manga. Also sorry if this is in the wrong area...
Ordinary boy dragged into world of vampires. I guess that would be the short summary. It starts getting weird in the end though
good book but.. imo i didnt really like the ending so much but overall its good pretty sure theres even a movie on this
There's a word for this: Hardcopy The way you're saying is like you are looking down on the novels on this site.
Lol dont even compare that bs to Darren Shan The plot twists give you one hell of a ride, especially when you get to the last book. The character development and relationships were built really great.
It's one of those series that grows with the target audience. At first it was barely spoopy and whatnot. Then all of a sudden there is massacres, gore, death everywhere, and the feels. The ending left me wanting though. It's an ending, and also a slap to the face.
I read that series too. I don't think I finished it. The worst part of the series is where the author tries to use "science" to explain why vampires are bleary on video and mirrors, despite the fact that the human eye can see them just fine. It just made the author look stupid. The rest of the story was great, and I suggest it.
idk about the manga, as I haven't read manga in quite a few years. It is a published book series in English, so acquire it as you would any other books.
Yeah, the fact that the books is heavy on biblical type stuff, and then the author drags in science rubbed me the wrong way. We have vampires, big foot, magic and other crap, get out of here science, you are obscuring the plot... Don't watch that movie... It tried to condense the whole series into one movie and failed. horribly... Like trainwreck style bad...
Didn't mean it that way. Jus don't know the word/phrase for it. Since there are novels, light novels, web novels, and so on.
I have to say though, the Demonata series was better than the Darren Shan one, at least it was for me.
