Just realised after I re read the DE.. The title is about desolate era.. And ... In the story... Spoiler The MC have friends families and brothers left and right even in the ending he revive everyone livng with them together forever... Indeed a very "desolate era" [\Spoiler] Whats ur opinion
Well if i were to defend DE then maybe the desolation he felt was from the separation between him and his wife? then again that makes the title superficial and cheesy.

That's where you are wrong. You assume his daughter was enough. What im trying to say is, to some people, one person is enough, one person is their whole world.(so corny) Tbh, the whole plot was driven by his desire to resurrect his wife. If not for his dead wife he'd probably be slacking off.
Let's be honest here, without the plot of his wife's death, would he be as diligent as he is now? The story is driven under the premise that he has no time to waste.(to resurrect his dead wife ASAP). Another proof for this is that as soon as his wife was resurrected the plot ended. the story literally ended. I read the story so i know, his wife was used all the time to drive the MC to strive further. How many times was the excuse that his wife's soul cannot be resurrected normally just so that the mc will have to reach universe controller level?
the synopsis basically tells us what direction the story will follow and that the desolate era wont be a continuous thing. its webnovel. the authors dont think that far ahead if you havent noticed by now, same for the coiling dragon ring.
At the beginning of the translation I've already pointed out that 'The Desolate Era' might not be a suitable title for the story. However as argued by the original translator and later by RWX, it is the correct translation of the original title.If I remember correctly then the title for the anime is 'Legend of The Jade Sword' not 'Desolate Era'. All in all, IMO 'The Legend of Ji Ning' would be more suitable title.
