He is an emperor now, so The Burger Emperor would be more exact. Or "Vida's" with Daria's face in the logo of "Wendy's" ? And not to forget their worst opponent the clown Rodcorte Mac Donald...
The Mcvida thing seems funny but it is not really important. In a watertight world Vandalieu has introduced several concepts + brand + franchise + product differentiation The brand is something really curious in a world where there is no great production and therefore there is no great need to differentiate a kilo of wheat a plow etc. There is only something similar with the name of people but it does not go beyond for example a blacksmith famous I want to see Alda's reaction when he sees how Vandalieu gets great power in his territory and when he tries to stop it he bumps into the Appl-VANDALEU fans cough cough freedom of choice vs Alda doctrine
they have forgotten the most important thing, the toy, what will happen to the toys? Van figurines and the rest of the gang? coloring books? your own pet golem? There are too many options.
Imagine you are one of the next reincarnated bravers, you pop up in an adult body go to the nearest town and see Vida branded coffee shops and food stores. All the sacks of consumables are branded with the church of Vida's symbol. And as was said earlier if Van wants to place innocuous spies in the general public golem toys would be perfect.
What I think one of them would think when they see that is something along the like of "It's Starbucks. Starbucks has invaded a different world. Is the name still Starbucks?" *checks name* " Well, not called Starbucks, but it is called... Starcia?"
im kind of surprised this hasnt been picked up for an anime yet. seems like it could be made into a good one. any specific reason it hasn't yet?
Is it early Christmas? Am I dreaming? I get more Van-sama time!? Wait... Even if I was dreaming I could still meet Van-sama there. Let me stay dreaming then. Edit: (After I finished the chapter) *snickers* Darcia-sama. T-that p-*snickers*priest knows Darcia-sama is awesome.
I don't remember if anything was said about that female knight, back when Van rescued those villagers, is this the first time it's mentioned that she's in line to rule the territory?
I accidentally clicked the link to novel bastion and saw a new chapter, I thought I was mistaken but here we are. Some serious foreshadowing going on here. Church of Vida is being spread, Darcia made a new friend, The lord's spy is scared silly, we are getting some news of where Van will go grocery shopping next for some minotaur meat. And old Randolph shows back up suddenly. The next couple of chapters should be very interesting, now if only Birkyne would show up and get wrecked all will well in the world.
She was not among the villagers, she was send after the attack to hunt the one that did the attack. This is the first time we hear of her at all.
Murakami and Fitun aren't even a match for the rescued kids that just changed their species let alone Van.
A braver is around C to B rank, the kids are D rank. Against van is not a question, they don't stand a chance against any of van's closer friends that is even slightly combat oriented.
No, the justification said nothing about Vandaleu having to permanently destroy peices of his own soul in order to remove the curse. What was said is essentially that he would have to break down pieces of his soul into extremely small parts in order to expose the curse enough to drain it for good. However, this would mean time and effort, which would distract him from his stall business and, more importantly, leave him longer in a state where his mana was not at full capacity when he was expecting the arrival of Murakami and Berkney at any moment. He did not want to be left that vulnerable. He has to learn how to give divine protections before he can share abilities... wait, he already has!!! But, anyway, that's HOW" gods grant abilities, it is through divine protections. That sounds... oddly vulgar. There is a specific reason actually, not enough virgins in the 1st book. Literally. The Japanese market is big into having a male fan-base who can fantasize and place themselves into the role of being in a relationship with one of the female leads. Because there was no female member of the main cast who was a virgin in the first couple of books, they didn't have the ability to fit this role, so the web novel got poor sales in Japan. BTW Spoiler 12
I remember that Van once was able to share his [danger sense : death] skill by connecting his spirit to the target. This was back during the fight between the ghouls and the orc tribe with 4 noble orc leaders. That was so long ago though that I might have misremembered. Maybe Van could actually end up being able to give skills permanently at some point.
