Discussion Deep-rooted Summoned Hero novels

Well.........

I want to say something I've got on my mind like for a while.

When browsing for novels, regardless of the recent/later tropes and what's trendy and all, found some novels that have these in common-

-Summoned/Transported/Reincarnated MC/Individuals
-Overpowered Main Character(s)
-Pfff.... "World of Swords and Magic"
-Harem Harem Harem Harem Harem Harem Harem

.... Well, the list can go on, but the common this is the "Transported to Another World" trope.
(BTW I'm using the word 'Trope' to my own convenience, not that I know what it means LOL)

I found lots of these novels; (we all know this, but)

And so- while going into the Reviews, I found the common review (by various individuals), that says-

"This is a twist to the Transported to otherworld genre"

*Cough*

I found these reviews in series that do not contain the previous, as well as in novels-

-Transported to another world without.. ppft... Swords and Magic.
-Not OP MC
-Not Harem
-Political-related topic
-Not Harem
-Slow lif-wait... slowlife is a trend now- nevermind.
-Not Harem
-Not Harem.

ETC ETC ETC.....

Well, when the novel is in some way different than the 'now common' Summoned Person/Hero that is OP and gets Harem in a Swords and Magic world, Still taking the "Transported" part, or even the hero part, but the other adds to the story are different, people say-

"It's a twist to the common plot".....

Okay, arriving here, what I want to discuss is how now people thinks the norm of being transported, becoming op, having a harem, being a hero, be weak and bullied but then become strong, harem harem harem harem harem harem harem.. *COUGH*

......

So, why people now thinks the Summoned Overpowered Hero to a World of Swords and Magic and get a Harem, is the norm of "Transported Individual Novels", which clearly... is fucking weird and silly.

Even I got to think like that for a while, but thought about it really well.

What do you people think about it?

 

I'm not tired of isekai genre, but neither am I interested in harem or Arifureta. There are lots of 'transported into another world genre' that are very well done and don't have harem. Your poll is too skewed to your own opinion. I suggest adding a poll option like "no, not tired" instead of tying 'no' with 'loving harem'.

Isekai genre is not about harem. While they can be mixed together, isekai and harem are mutually exclusive genre.

Not tired. Blame the author skill and not the trope.

LOL I do too. Who doesn't enjoy some cool harem LOL. What I don't like is how people think that the premise of Summoned OP Hero/Individual is the norm... which isn't.

 

of course no how many summoned hero novel get translated and how many is drooped dont talk like summoned hero novel is everywhere because i only read few summoned hero novel but got dropped so early so no i still dont have enough !!!

It's not that i'm tired of it , is that i never like it to beggin with! Much less if it includes game elements.
But i remark that i don't have anything against the genre, it's just not my stuff.

 

I agree with aldnonymus, the thing with transported to another world thing is really getting boring but i still want to know the story progression and the bloody ending of a story that i started reading..

I remember judge banned this genre...

I remember when isekai used to be like

Summoned Overpowered Hero ->not OP but better than average
World of Swords and Magic -> (well this is the same cuz well people thought sci-fi would come eventually after all alot of people in the 90's thought that our time right now would be like futurerama)
get a Harem -> get ONLY the princess or some other important girl if at all
