    These last few chapters are pretty bad, why the heck is the emperor allowing a competition with lives and limbs at stake at what is essentially a diplomatic meeting between people from three different royal families?, no matter who win or loses it can cause a diplomatic disaster.

    oh i agree... but i guess the emperor is spineless afraid of offending Feng Cang but wants to somehow punish Qi Qi... also they are holding the crown prince of the other country so not really a problem... with the justification that all parties agreed and sign a contract... and could also say that Feng Cang was the one who took action. . .
    still he is supposed to be an emperor with the 'power' of a 'ruler'.....

    I feel like the last few chapters have been a rush to wipe out all loose ends. I'm betting that with MQQ leaving with Feng Cang the author wanted to resolve any drama in Xi Qi. At this point it feels very rushed and absurd.

    The story will likely just replace it with more drama though, especially since that damned sister of hers got away just like that...

    it's has to be someone who doesn't want QiQi himself.
    Someone that doesn't seem to have connection to him maybe,
    or else Feng Cang will be on his case.
    But sending one of his bodyguards would be boring for the story hmmm....
    It could be a new character

    I just want to say...that busty woman fell in love too easily and the way she was all sobby over not getting the man and dying is just downright silly. I laughed out loud when I read her dramatic speech. Seriously you only met him not even a few hours ago!
