Movie Detective Pokemon(Live Action Movie)

looks awesome. im watching it the minute it's out

 

oh yeah

 

i'm torn between thinking it has some semblance of a decent idea, it was overly inspired by ted, and the writers/producers have probably never even seen or played pokemon, so it likely started as something else entirely and they poke-tized it to get people to actually go and watch it.

 

I'm much more interested in this than I've been in anything else pokemon related for years.
No idea if the story will be good, but I love the style they went with for the pokemons.

I kinda like it since it shows how pokemon, in reality, the CGI pokemon looks good plus Pikachu looks cute plus Deadpool.
It's nice since there are a lot of easter eggs and pokemon around, I think the people working on it new pokemon games since there are not only gen 1 pokemon but from other gen 2. They also hired an artist known for his realist take on pokemon so they got good method.

They just made it more faithful to the game. Looking nice plus it seems fun.
Probably the reason they adapting Detective Pokemon instead of the new game due to PETA..? Or the risk being compared to the more famous game and anime. So they choose to adopt the new and less popular version of the game. It has a good plot tho

How i told my dad about it:

Me: They're making a new pokemon movie.
Him: Another one? (bemused face)
Me: It's pokemon in the real world, kinda like spoofing old detective movies and pikachu is voiced by Deadpool.
Him: (surprised face)

I'm definitely gonna see it when it comes out.

 

People with money but nothing good to do with it

PS $10 million dollars is considered low budget. Sharknado actor got paid $500,000 base salary for the 5th movie. More than Gal Gardot got for wonder woman : $300,000

 

I wish they would pay me money for being a worthless bum

My eyes are glued to that abs right there. It must be fake. Yup fake.

 

Pikachu is voiced by Deadpool? The guy that played the character Deadpool? Really? ..............No wonder Pikachi in English doesn't sound cute at all.

Americans seem to want to make everything look real and sometimes beyond real--but being cute is almost never a thing. I wonder how they are going to take this movie. I hope I won't return from the theater feeling like I wasted my time and money.

 

I think if Pokemon exist, human's population would be half of what it is today.

 

On the other hand, it would be so cool

 

For us, who are not raised in such a world, it would be awesome. Freaking awesome--behind a protective bar, in a safe building; like the zoo. The whole Pokemon against Pokemon is animal cruelty--Pokemon cruelty!! None of us is ready for the world of Pokemon. The world where Pokemon bleed in battle--battles that didn't need to happen. The world where human existence is threaten by another intelligence species, multiples intelligence species. Imagine your pests being the size of dogs and cats, plus super power. Goodness--no. You can't just walk into the wood or a trail road off the main road further away from cites. You have to carry protective gear and know your survive skills. It is quite a miracle that Ash and all those trainers haven't die yet. Imagine meeting a Pokemon as dangerous as encountering a bear, lion--one of those big predators who can certainly hunt humans. If I have a Pokemon bud, maybe. Don't you see, even Ash has to run away a couple of time with Pikachu in his arm.

Plus raising a Pokemon would be much more costly than raising a normal pet. Just imagine the cost of damages or accidents. A Pikachu frying my electronic. A Rattata invading my home. A Charmander accidentally lighting fire with his tail. A Squirtle sound docile, but could easily be provoke into flooding. My God!!

 

I loved it. I missed out in the promo card but I loved it. The CGI just felt so organic and the mannerisms flowed naturally. The plot was alright and had decent foreshadowing that while there, did somewhat surprise me and felt satisfying.
Touching moments in the movie and showed Tim's and Pikachu's own strengths in their own ways. Their charactirizarion was also very nice and made their relationship all the better.

Not a movie to ponder too deeply into the existential. The designs of the Pokemon also really grew on me.
