He was given ten shadow bodyguards to escort him to his academy..after parting of ways his sister wasn't feeling at peace and kept questioning ninth prince if he will be alright..since she wasn't at peace, ninth prince decided to turn around their carriage and pursued her brother but unfortunately they were too late..her brother was kidnapped and all bodyguards killed except one who used all his effort to return to inform them of their situation despite being injured and poison. They decided to pursue the kidnappers and rescue her brother and at one point, her brother's little finger was sent back to her to show her that they meant business..anyway after they successfully recovered her brother, she taught her brother to kill to extract vengeance for himself...

Spoiler: Little Brother Her little brother gets kidnapped at one point, which was actually orchestrated by their father. To make him stronger, MC took the opportunity to teach LB (little brother) how to kill. This was actually LB's first kill here. Also, he was supposed to be at school to be a scholar under a reputable teacher but he prefers to learn about war. He also got close to the emperor and to MC's maternal grandfather (btw, these two oldies are best of friends) as well as to the prince who is close to the ML. LB doesn't like their father and doesn't even want to get close to him after his kidnapping so he stays with the emperor in the palace. Spoiler: Father's Fall from Grace He kept on lusting for power. Even when his favorite daughter was "spoiled" by his very own son, he still continue using her because he thinks her fate is to be the "phoenix". Upon the death of the first wife, the one who replaced MC's mother, the raised the MC's mother to the first wife status again but the MC was able to get the two divorced through the emperor's help. After that, father married a widowed princess for power but this princess eventually died. He was eventually stripped of his prime minister position and became a commoner.

Can someone spoil about Xuan Tian Hua (the seventh prince)? Is he a good guy? Or is he the one behind ML's misfortunes? Any highlights?
Sorry, I can't provide in-depth details as I MTLed a long time ago. I forgot already. Spoiler: Seventh Prince He's a good prince. FL actually trusts the 7th prince. When FL was recuperating in secret by ML's side (after a failed murder attempt), she entrusted her sister Feng Xiang Rong to 7th prince. Near the end of the story, 7th prince went to war (I don't accurately remember if it is a war or not) and was almost killed to the point of coma but FL saved him. She whisked him away to recuperate in her medical space, with all the medical tubes and the likes of the modern era. At the end of the novel though, it seems that there is no clear statement that the 7th prince has awakened but there was a line that subtly indicates that he is about to wake up from coma. 7th prince is very good to his adoptive mother, emperor, FL, her little brother, and FXR. He's also very loyal to ML.

If you mean the rich merchant maternal family of ShenYi, the eldest sister, they were executed by the emperor. Yes MC will meet the Yao family.. there is a little twist to that part of the story..you have to read it to get the thrill of it yourself!
