Monk Gyatsu cheated on Avatar Aang and he’s the avatar. Proof that cheating can occur during chess.
How did he cheat?
Like it, but MC's friend always get the leeway, especially cloud leopard. The author made him progress easily. He doesn't have many techniques to speak of, but later on in the story he can jump realm to fight while also win easily.
Meanwhile our MC painstakingly research on anything, and also need to utilize everything when fighting someone of higher realm.
Not only that. The author made it as if all the knowledge that our MC learn can be teached to his friends easily. They never seems to struggle to comperhend anything.
That is a common theme in most novels whether CN, KR or JP. MC will go to hell and back to comprehend or attain something then his friends/allies are able to capitalize on it as easy as flipping a switch.
It makes sense though. Once someone understands it, they can teach in a way that’s easier to comprehend.
It is indeed make sense, but it depends to what extent. You don't hope to teach the calculus to someone that never learned algebra, no? Not to mention that analogy, sometimes there is something that certain people wouldn't understand no matter how much you teach them.
In this novel, MC's friends can easily mastered something(yeah, not only learning, mastering and learning is a different concept). They didn't even take much time at all..
The plus side is the author doesn't waste many chapters on his friends struggle. Now as for the chapters that could've been saved by excluding all these long infodumps is another question.
Donna is ugly and tries to hook up with a very handsome arcanist, who shows no interest in her, is an asshole and is poor but can't tell that he was only with her for her money. She seems pretty dumb.
Let me remind you of sth...They were in one of the best schools and all of them were top 100...Is it rly that hard for them to be so smart and can cultivater faster? A few of them were only held back by shity bloodlines and The other system that the mc created is simillar to 2 things that everyone in the series knows a bit ...Is it that hard to comprehend?
Its not dum anymore rly just love which is in this case...What would prob happen 99% of the time even in our world.
How many mc have a wife ???
To put it likes this: A researcher might burn decades on something you can comprehend in less than 10 minutes if he explains it to you. This is what boosted humanity from an highly.intelligent species of primates to the world dominating power they are today. And many of them already know most of the basics of cultivation. So its not like he is dropping a pile of books on an illiterate.
Speaking of which, did the author unfuck the romance or can I kick this novel into the dumpster already?
I think you're forgetting the fact that the MC doesn't just teach his friends any/every technique that he knows. He teaches them techniques that are most suitable to them. Combine that with their own talents (coming from one of the best schools on the continent) and a solid teacher, it shouldn't be that surprising that his friends are able to gain strength quickly.
un funk it as in how ws it funked up in the first place?
because as of the current mini ark with the harpy people our MC has one wife, one harem member, and one potential harem member.
he got together and officially married the chick he peeped on while 'blind', though she is 'trapped' by bloodline issues in a city that his sect holds part over.
he has, or is close to, taking the girl he 'convinced' to fall for him while in the academy as his concubine and should be close to taking her back with him to the sect
he still has the silly nigh girl contact with the underground org on his hit list and no much is happening with her yet.
So he didn't fix it, alright.
I understand what u mean. But, Even if it is just gain strength quickly, it is still needs to be reasonable.
Meanwhile, in the feathered race arc(I don't know if it's translated yet), one of his friends suddenly became very strong in less than a month. He suddenly can take opponent that even our MC probably have to gave him all. His friend didn't even sustain much injury after that fight.
(by his friend I mean cloud leopard)
His friend aka Cloud Leopard fights like theres no tomorrow aka Like a Beast in rage that doesnt care if he dies...So he wins by allways attacking and not defending...While MC feels like he likes to outsmart or overpower his enemys which is hard on someone way stronger so yeh
It is funny that in the rare Chinese web-novel with actual plot the author can't make consistent power-system and always change it or create nonsensical situations. Like four ordinary Spirit Burning realm experts who can hold on Demonic King or group of low-level soldiers who can defeat Lord-level enemy easily, etc. Author inconsistent af.
the author does have a consistent power base system though and it was stated a while ago in the chapters. The thing is, there is always outliers to the system and the MC is the primary outlier. MC then takes his knowledge and applies it to the people he trusts to bring them up as well. Also right now they are on the low end of the scale with a one lotus platform person being ~1000 power level. and each lotus platform giving something like 100-400 more power level based upon the bloodline. Since the MC has the immaculate cultivation technique which compresses power the lower tier levels have a higher power base.
IE the sword servants and cloud leopard are what would be called half step into lotus platform stage. but because they have followed the immaculate cultivation technique of the MC they have a power level of ~1500 instead of the normal ~990.
Additionally they have compounding skills and can work together seamlessly.
a good example of the compounding skills is Cloud Leopard's force redistribution skill. While he would have gotten blown away from the fireball to the face he took in the recent chapter he used the technique the MC taught him to blast himself forward instead of backwards thus accelerating him into the target
But I don't talk about Cloud Leopard. If you were unable to see how inconsistent power-system after reading for so long then you either read it very slowly and so forgot about previous words of the author or just not really pay attention to details.
Check this chapter:
Let me remind you - current MC isn't strong enough to contend with Lord-levels yet at the time of this chapter. In fact, it took 20 (!!!) Light-Shaking realm experts to barely defeat Lord-level Demonic Beast. And in this chapter, an author says that a random soldier who just entered the Light-Shaking realm can defeat this One-Eyed Demon alone. And yes, I checked the raws - it was said that this Demon is Lord-level as well.
Another point - just four Spirit Burning experts (with Lord bloodline) were enough to hold back Demonic King. Which is complete nonsense because it should be able to one-shot them easily.
The problem is that those inconsistences and random changes weren't something new, there were a lot of them starting from the second volume. The author completely forgot about "100 stars" cultivation and differences between small realms. He did all of this just to slow down progress of the story as much as possible.
