DMWG - Genii

I stopped reading DMWG for a while to build up chapters, but I've just started reading again and I keep seeing the term "Genii" being used , but I can't remember what it means. Can anyone tell me what the hell is a genii?

Nope. I'm reading chapter 74 right now and they've used it quite a few times. Genii among Genii? I don't get it

 

I think genii is the plural of Genie.

According to google, standard plural for genius is geniuses, genii is a lesser used one (and one that shouldn't be used).

Genii shouldn't be used because the original latin meaning of Genius is where we get words like genome/genes etc. So since it has changed so much it should just use the standard English pluralization, instead of attempting to still use the Latin.

 

I don't think there is any Genies in this series, or is it genii. I'm confused

 

probably means a genius among geniuses.

 

From context, I think it may be the term for cultivator in DMWG, but I'm not sure

 

Why dont they just say dragon among men then?

You sure it's Genii and not Guan Yi? Im at the most recent chapters and Guan Yi Yun is the one who gets mentioned a lot that is even clos to genii

 

They mean genius. Probably along the lines of 1 genius 2 genii

I've just looked through chapter 74. All of the "genii" have been corrected to geniuses.
