I find that slowly over time I tend to build up small deposits of change all over my house. When I have change in my pocket, I just kinda put it somewhere nearby, wherever that may be. This leads to the situation of having random coins on various surfaces all over my house. The total amount of money is probably small so I don't really worry about it being a financial burden to upkeep the aforementioned piles of change, but It does look kinda messy... So how about it? Do you do the same thing?
My husband does. I hate it. It drives me crazy. I do not understand why you cannot put your change into your wallet. If there’s too much change, put it in a bag.
Change falls out of my wallet, so I wear cargo shorts and put the change in those pockets so they don't fall out. I've always had a cute piggy bank next to where I put my wallet when I get home, so I've never put change anywhere but in the bank.
I have a piggybank, but it's behind a cabinet door at roughly shin height so I don't use it often out of laziness.
I place emergency cash in all of my jackets and coats. When I was younger, it would typically be $40, enough for a meal and bus/subway fare if necessary, like if I forgot my wallet. As things got more expensive over the years, it's now $60 or $80 depending if I adjusted it for the jacket or coat. My mom once found $800 I had hidden in a jacket I took on a family vacation decades ago. This was when I was using cash more than credit cards. I didn't particularly like the jacket, so it was hanging forgotten in a closet until my mother decided it was time to clean out the closet to make space. She found the money while looking over the jacket because I was telling her to throw it out, but it looked new.
Yep, if I somehow make a pile I just toss them in my old wallet. I think its quite full with change already. And there's probably some hidden change somewhere in my room. It feels pretty nice seeing a dime on a cleaning day, so I kinda like it.
Haha I used to be like that when I was younger.....until my mother decided to address the issue. She did my washing see? So she started a money jar....then bought me the ugliest jumper I'd ever seen. O.O I learned....>__>
I used to have that problem, but now I have about 8 ‘piggy’ banks of various shapes around the house, so it’s no longer that big a deal.
i usualy keep them in my walled....if i have too many coins, i give them to my mother or father to buy a coffee... but my little brother and sister they leave some around the house...
