Which of the above options describes your situation best? I'm wondering what state most people on this site at the moment are in.

Well... we’re currently renting, but I do own a condo, which we plan to move into in the winter. Although the condo needs some repair work done first, but with covid, who knows if it’ll get done in time...

No, I don't own a house. No point in buying a permanent residence for the transient mortal self.
Actually, don't hv the money to buy one, but the above explanation sounds less pathetic.

Technically I'm a homeowner and mooching... My husband bought a house, so half of it's mine in the eyes of the law, but he pays for it all. I help out cleaning and upkeep wise but my paycheck has never been enough to do more than buy groceries lol so I try, but I feel like a moocher 99% lol

Legally you're a homeowner I believe, so please pick that on the poll.

I was given a house in the name of my wife from my father in law to prevent me taking her too far from his house (his house is only 2 house away). Does that count as home owner or mooching?

We do renovated, refurbished and filled it with our own furniture, still doesn't change the fact that the land and the initial building were given... :hmm:

Sounds like a give and take where you bought the place with your freedom. A homeowner you are.

I already picked homeowner because legally I am indeed a homeowner. However I did want to note the mental contradiction and split identity as well hence the first post lol.

Honestly, if I were married, I would not want to live that close to my parents or my in-laws. I’d rather our houses be at least 20 minutes away
