I shower exactly every other say, since my hair is more fragile/light/fluffy how ever ya wanna put it. Too much of anything and not enough of something are both bad. But it also depends on if you're working and getting dirty a lot, or your hair/skin type. :v So every other day is good for me, and I enjoy showering. Baths are just marinating yourself in your own filth, so it's a "Y/N soup". Sometimes, after showing or a long day, I'll soak in a bath. Edit: Cold. Cold. Cold showers. Ice cold. Because. I dunno. I like it. Spoiler: Dr. Mike's take on too much showering :]
Dude, your CONs are pretty much PROs. Lol. The CONs should be the bad things about showering. Like if you wash your hair to much with shampoo will have negative effects or something
I don’t shower everyday , I take baths instead . Showering everyday can be bad for you hair , apparently but don’t quote me on that . Showering and washing my hair can kinda be a hassle it takes me around 4 hours to get it all dried and brushed out . But my hair is pretty oily so I need to shower a couple times a week . It’s kinda hard with really thick and long hair .
Acne good? ( o_o) I reread multiple times, I don't see nothin', could you elaborate for this slow person here, please? :3
No acne not good, but showering helps to keep your skin clean and free of oils. How is showering a CON in that circumstance
(From a dermatologist magazine in germany) Cons for showering everyday: - It loosens oils form your skin and washes them out, but it is these fats that make your skin soft and supple. The result: The skin becomes rough and flaky. - daily showering damages the skin's natural protective shield, as the good bacteria are also washed off. However, these protect our largest organ from harmful bacteria and viruses by preventing them from entering. - The scalp and hair also suffer from frequen use of water. On the one hand, the scalp can dry out as well, on the other hand it starts to produce more oil than necessary, which you will notice in qickly greasy, stringy hair. - If you shower daily, your skin can even develop health problems that manifest themselves in acne, pimples or even eczema. I personally have to shower 6 times in a week, because i do sports from monday to saturday, but I guess it is better to not shower everyday, based on dermatologists advice.
Back when I was working, I'd shower every morning for the work days. Depending on how hot and sweaty I am and whether just hanging out at home, I may skip showering on the weekends. Now that I'm out of work and living the life of a hermit, I shower every 3-4 days. Again, it depends on how hot and sweaty it is, so maybe a bit more often during the summer and less during the winter. If I had to mow the grass, I'll shower right after to get rid of all of the pollen and dirt/dust.
Huh? Wow, showering everyday cause acne and pimples. That’s a new one. What was the recommended amount of showers did they agree upon?
I use soap and shampoo every other day. If I need to shower in between I just rise off. I also use coconut oil or lotion on my skin afterward every time. My hair gets staticky if I wash it more than that. And my skin drys out if I over do the soap.
With the humid and typical 34°C air in the tropics here, it's almost impossible to resist the urge of taking a shower everyday. It's a need, at least for me! I take a shower two times a day
Normally every other day, but every day in the summer depending on the weather (sweat is gross and makes my skin break out with acne). I don't wash my hair every time because it takes a few days to get oily. Ain't nobody got time for baths, the shower is my only friend
