the master changed gender. psychotic, self-centered, murderous master- turned into kind, caring, selfless missy. just because of a gender change? to hell with that! if a gender change is equal to changing the core concept- then no. evil to good just by switching genders? that's stupid... and it shows exactly how writers deal with gender change. the master is psychotic, murderous, evil incarnate? we have to redeem her she's a woman now. a woman can't be psychotic, murderous and evil. now the doctor... is a bit addle-brained, socially inept, cold at times- how do you think they'll change that- given a beautiful woman as the next incarnation? no humor- cause you can't laugh at a woman doctor. no flaws- because you can't even hint that the doctor is sometimes stupid. no more casual disregard for unavoidable deaths of people- because the doctor can't be callous. human writers don't have that maturity yet. if they did- missy would have been as evil as the master.
That just depends on how well they develop the female doctor doesn't it? I mean just because he is now female doesn't mean that woman can't be psychotic, murderous or evil. lol I didn't even think the Master was that evil in the first place... What kind of a .....
the master... not evil? that's what you get when they turned him into missy. the master should be the antithesis of the doctor. he has started wars, assasinated the whole cabinet, oh and a goal of conquering a galaxy or two? he also wants to make the doctor suffer- by enslaving or destroying the human race. not that evil indeed.
i have stop watching it when that old dude showed up, got boring will try to catch up but as it seems it will not be getting better.
I hate when someone tries to force his own shit into established characters. If I ever become Doctor Who's writer I will make the Doctor say that some TimeLords chose to regenerate into dogs or monkeys so that in the future the actors can be replaced by animal CGIs.
It got boring after David Tennant left. And stopped watching after Matt smith left. Don't think I'll watch this new one either~
