So do you forget the name of a person who you've interacted with only once irl, while they remember yours??? I mean if you interact with them a 2nd time they remember your name while you've forgotten theirs... Me: yeah I forget them rather quickly... Not just their name I forget about their existence entirely....well I have to try really hard to remember who they're
Yes, but I pretend to know them and slowly remember who they are and how we met. Works every single time, less awkwardness too between me and said person.
I can remember their face... But... It takes a little thinking, but no matter how much I think I can't remember their name....
Often, although I'll just either play along or just ask them what there name was if I need to know it. And on the other hand I'm also not bothered about people forgetting my name. I do know someone who was rather unabashed about not knowing peoples name to the point he'd have someone on retainer to ask what other peoples name were, which I found hilarious.
Yeah me too... I don't ever bring something up which will require me to say their name I thought so.... Or else it'b be weird... Cuz what's the point of remember a name when you don't even know who that name belongs to.....
I've spent a whole year in a classroom of people of whom i remembered only 3 names, the rest were just 'You'. 'Hey you'.
I try thinking about their faces, or voices too. And pair their name with something so it's easier to remember. (Ex: Payton, and I'll remember him because he wore the obnoxious paint splattered neon shirt). It's actually the opposite for me though sadly I remember most people, first and last name, and even middle names sometimes. It's happened too many times where I've walked up to someone, usually in a new class, and we're talking before they sheepishly turn the subject and ask, "So...who are you again?" O u c h. Madison, we were literally in basic biology together for 3 years straight in middle school and environmental science for 2 semesters just last fall of Freshman year, how do you not remember the tall ass man who glows bright red and wears gloves all the time and says 'Oh, dagnabit' unironically constantly.
Names, huh. >_>;;;; I don’t forget those all the time! <_<;;;; Even with people I interact with for years! >_>;;;;;;;;;;;
I don't remember anyone's name from my previous school...... And I don't know anyone's name in this school either... So that's nothing unique Oh dw I believe you ʘ‿ʘ
The fact that she just waltzed out after saying that though. Didn't even wait for me to respond? Just walked, looked back, walked out. We were in the middle of class??? Now we in a class club together and she still didn't remember after that last time too. And she got a girlfriend before all of us, damn.
Yes, congratulations, nothing is unique because there's over 7 billion people. Good thing i don't know who you are.
I'm bad with names, ok? I even forgot the names of a few people that still come over every now and then even now. We even played and drank together... (i still don't know their names, i keep on forgetting them but i don't want to ask them since they might feel bad)
Oh even if we have interacted I doubt we'd remember each other anyway....so it's good that we don't know each other (ㆁωㆁ)
My family always said that I have a memory of goldfish coz I always forgot: 1. What I did yesterday 2. People I meet (like for a short time) 3. Event that happens (involve my families) Tbh I think it becoz we as human tend to ignore/forget things that we considered irrelevant to our lifes. Like why should I remember what I ate yesterday? A person who I may or may not meet again? An event that not really important to me? So yeah, no worry it is normal to forget. We are human
Something that happened a lot to me before corona: *meets random person* Person: hey, you're "my name"! Long time no see! Remember, we did activity xyz together? Me: huh, you're right! Been a while! Me in my head: I have no clue who you are, I'm so sorry
I usually just say that I'm sorry, but forgot their name in those cases. Happens from time to time... Or well, used to, I haven't met many new people in recent years.
