So, I've been reading Never Die Extra lately. Of course, I'm a big fan of the Toy Car. But the world-building of the game is really interesting. The protagonist's inherent skills/abilities are random and you have to explore and try to figure them out. Which obviously means each playthrough is different. So, my question is this. Is there any game out there that actually has this mechanic? Even if the skills and whatnot aren't hidden in the beginning does any game actually RNG them when you start a new character? Sounds really fun.
Rogue Legacy made me giggle but I'm not a big fan of side scrollers like that. Though yes it does check that box. Epic Manager looks like it could be fun. Now that I know there ARE games out there like this are there some open world or sandbox rpgs like this?
Uh....not sure? I mean it would be great if it was random for quite a few but I'd love to at least know what's out there so just throw them out
