It is on hype for a few weeks on Youtube and Twitch now, but I don't really get what's up as I don't really click videos anything related to that except for the Opening and Credits OST of the game, which basically almost the same thing but the same time has vast difference due to its tune. I've been oddly curious about it since most of the small time to popular [Let's Play] channels have contents about it. How out of the norm is it, that most Gaming channels jumps through the bandwagon. I've never seen this much Unity ever since Undertale came out. The one thing that thoroughly ignited my interest is, a friend of mine whose a VN enthusiast and basically spoils me on whatever Visual Novel she played, refused to talk spoilers of the game. Also said that it's best to play it now that I still don't have any knowledge in it since she said the experience is vastly different from those who had it. But then, she often pranks me big time, so I basically don't trust her too much. Just wanna make sure.
It's free, and only takes a few hours, and with those preconditions, I would say it is something worth doing. Other than that, I don't really want to give any spoilers. There's not much point playing it if you've been spoiled.
It is one of the most twisted VN's out there. If you can handle that then give it a try. I refuse to touch it after watching some of the videos of it.
Try it. Don' read any reviews or articles about it. It won 4 public voting awards or something apparently, or so Dan Salvato's (Creator of DDLC) Twitter said. Spoiler: Fufufu...
It has girls doing girls thing. Friendship is of paramount importance here. No Umineko/Higurashi shit here, no sir.
It's a play and see for yourself... If you want a subversion of visual novels, go ahead and read/play it. It's not my cup of tea... prefer fluffy and dramatic visual novels xD
You either watch it or you play it. Reading spoilers will really kill a chunk of its entertainment value. Other visual novels are sufficiently lengthy enough to still have some value even with spoilers but not this game since it is short.
Based on what I've found when I looked up this game, it's not one of your ordinary visual novels. I'm planning to play it too someday. Even though I've been spoiled already, I thought the game was quite interesting.
Game grumps have a hilarious play through of it going on right now. And yes play it, its all sunshine and sparkles until about a 3rd of the way thru then Just Monica
Play it! It's free, short (1,5 hour for me on each play through) and really smart on the way it is presented. Tip: a lot of foreshadowing in the first play through, so pay attention. Also, play through it 3 times to get the full experience. You will know what I mean when you beat it for real the second time.
Yes, One of the best(since not alot has impressed me too much h-scene or boring interaction)this brings ddlc to the top since it has alot of features that impressed me
