Was bored and realized I haven't watched ep 10 of DD yet. And after watching it, just felt like making this thread cause I have nothing to do. __________ __________Nothing special for the first half, it's just like the novel/manga for the most part. But the things after the time skip is quite interesting... First thing first, seeing a modern city exist really surprised me. (it was never mentioned in the novel and manga). That's Soutuo City. It's never mentioned that it is a modern place and it doesn't look modern in the manga. But, if there's one thing that I like about this, it really showed the status difference between commoners and the truly rich. And it made me as a novel/manga reader to see a different perspective on this Douluo Dalu world, by the animators. __________ __________Next, we get to see how puberty hits hard on our MC, Tang San. Spoiler: Before {} Spoiler: After {} His fabulous level has been increased, though not as much as another character that's about to come out. Btw, there's this awkward translation I think when XW said "I'm tired" and TS said "Ha Ha Ha" (see Spoiler for After) That part really felt off and felt like something went mistranslated. On another scene, I had the urge to slap this guy's face That voice and acting killed me. The amount of was strong on his face. __________ __________Now comes the new important character... and oh boy did he change compared to his manga counterpart. Spoiler: Manga {} Spoiler: Anime {} This playboy just went too far. Let's see whether his classy suit will rip and get bare chested in the next episode when they fight~ (and you can also see that the hotel looks modern too from that image.) It's pretty good and fun to watch and also a good excuse to enjoy Douluo Dalu again. 3D animation? It's better than most and I never had any distaste again after watching the first 3 episode, only that it made some scene a bit...eeehhh? Anyways, doing this alleviated some of my boredom and helped me let out my thoughts here. Guess I'll do sth else now. *patiently waits for Shokugeki tomorrow*
Maybe it because I'm not used to hearing chinese, but it almost sounds like some of the voices are being played sped up.
And I know I can watch ep 15 if I want to, but not now. One by one. Last time I binged it, I only made it harder for myself to enjoy it. It's a slow paced story, better to take a break. And it's only today I choose to watch ep 10. Last I watched ep 9 was like 2+ week ago and forgotten it due to work.
