Discussion Dropped vs New Korean novels

1. Please pick up dropped novels if you can. Pretty please, with a cherry on top. No pressure.
2. It's really sad to see novels being dropped just when things start heating up. I mean, it's okay if a novel is dropped if it becomes boring or there's a drop in quality of the original novel, but for them to be dropped when still going full steam- it's criminal.
3. Mostly yes. But sometimes they are requested to be taken down by the publisher (nothing tler can do about it). Like Beautiful Top Star (one of my favs).
4. Yes, same thing happens in JPN and CN.
5. Novels I would like to see picked up:

• He's the Legendary Guard, Isn't He?
• Big Life
• Possessing Nothing
• Rebirth of the Heavenly Demon (not sure what's the deal with this one)

6. A Munpia ranking list is something I would love to see.​

 

1. Pick up please, as a reader I'm also salty.
2. I'm disheartened from translator dropping good novels, it feels like orgasm denial.
3. Not only Korean translator, in general I dislike people that never finished what they started.

6. As long as it's not disturbing your translation works, please make one thank you.

 

I would love it somebody could pick up dropped ones. Especially Elqueeness!!!
Also if translators decide to dropp their works, it would be nice if they at least notified their readers and don't leave us hanging, not knowing what is happening. The same with eventual breaks they have to take from translating, if life comes in between.

1. There are only a few KR novels I read nowadays, but none among them being dropped, well except for the small releases Life Mission. So not really, if there are new KR novels that are good then it's better for me. Though, if the chances that the new one I might read will be a part of the "dropped" group, then whatever......
2. Dropped novels are always bad for the readers. Cause mostly people that "remember" the dropped novels meaning they are fans and readers of those novels, so they are looking forward to see new updates. Well, I'm not part of those guys yet so staying neutral. But with regards to dropped novels in general then...
3. As irresponsible as random CN and JP novel translators. So basically, the same as everyone else.

1. I would prefer dropped novels be picked back up because I can't handle just having a bunch of new stories that never get finished.
2. In general, I love new novels but it makes me miserable when a novel I really liked gets dropped.
3. I don't think they're irresponsible but they probably underestimated the amount of time they would pend on translating and couldn't keep up with it.
4. It's pretty common for CN and JP novels to get dropped but they usually just change hands but for korean novels there isn't really alot of people who are swooping in to pick up dropped projects.
5. I would like to see He’s the Legendary Guard, Isn’t He?, Rebirth of The Heavenly Demon, Ten Thousand Heaven Controlling Swords(honestly I'm not even sure how into this one I am since it wasn't translated for long but I have a good feeling about it.) Pretty much any of those because they're the ones I miss reading most of the time.

I don't mind if they introduce a new novel, but I'd still say I'd rather have them continue the dropped ones.

my group plans to release a few chapters of Luna soon, but just as a teaser... so no one can pick it up just yet! I can't let these chapters go to waste... there are so many teaser chapters I've stored, but only to find out people have picked up the novels while I was stockpiling them... sad life man.

I do hope someone pick this up. Maybe it's not popular enough or for whatever reason last translation was 10/24/2017.

If translators can salvage and translate some of the existing novels already at NU then that would be great however translators should just choose the novel they want in hopes that they could finish and complete it till the end.

I only read 7 KR novels and of them only three are still being translated. 2 of the dropped novels are actually complete in COO.
