It is kinda useless now y'know? The thing going for it was its low mana cost.
But then again Giant Killer + Brutality is buffed so idk.
My charisma support set idea wont work now
Random makes clearing 3 enemies not reliable. 5 turns and dont miss is great and that should hopefully pair well with solo thunder builds but, It is a sheer waste in party now, firestorm is just way better due to reinforcement sizes + it actually damages boss.
Hm, so a 50% INT burn for 4 turns + 25% INT burn on other enemies. Hm, frankly the 25% INT burn might as well not exist as it wont even 2-hit mobs. Firestorm and Moonlight are both much better solution for mob control. The only fringe use I can see of this is if you aoe skill in party is just not enough to 1 shot mobs and you need just a bit of extra damage. In that case it would be an mana and turn efficient skill.
Also does this stack? Coz then there might be a case for it.
t1 - 50% boss damage, 25% mob damage (50% burn)
t2 - 150% boss damage, 75% mob damage (100% burn)
t3 - 300% boss damage, 150% mob damage (150% burn)
t4 - 500% boss damage, 250% mob damage (200% burn, first cast expires next turn)
t5 - 700% boss damage, 350% mob damage (200% burn, sec cast expires next turn)
The update is decent I think. If Bond stacks, you just go 4 bond mages and cast bond t1,
So t1: 200% boss, 100% mob <-- mob is dead, boss is fucked, (200% burn).
t2: Boss dead. Probably spam more bond if boss has bullshit hp or just cast some fireball or something idk
Between four mages, aoe required for summon mobs shouldnt be a problem either
I can understand where you're coming from, but it was a mistake on my end to have it cost only 4 MP. Hitting 2+ targets can't cost the same as a single target skill.
Basically, the skill previously had a downside of being a Ranged Attack by default, so it was fine costing 4MP... Once I removed that it had to go to 7 MP, but I ended up missing it in the last patch.
At the end of the day it is a T0 skill, it's not meant to be super useful at higher levels.
Charisma was at a messy place before. It was too powerful when used in a proper support build, but most damagy builds didn't want it because they don't wanna spend a turn not dealing dmg... It was too strong, but also didn't fit the most popular Off Mag build... I felt it was better to scrap it and make something new~
Aye, it is certainly better when soloing, especially in boss rooms when you don't have enough INT to one-shot all enemies with Firestorm~
It doesn't stack with itself, but it does stack with other skills that burn enemies.
So like... If you use Bond of Pain t1 and Slow Freeze t2, you'd get...
t1: 50% Boss, 25% Mobs
t2: 170% Boss, 85% Mobs
t3: 290% Boss, 145% Mobs
t4: 410% Boss, 205% Mobs
