For example: I can i get ice block to level 0 and then never place another point on it, instead focusing on heavy blow derivatives. Is it possible or I am forced to max a skill after I place a point on it?
You are not forced to spend any more points on Ice Block, but that would mean that you would be unable to access Giant Killer and Hastened Blow.
from wat i understand of the Hybrid skill tree, you need to bring heavy blow to lv3 for the next tier of skills, but to raise the next tier of skills to their own max lv you need to raise iceblock to at least lv2
Thanks that is exactly what I wanted to hear~ Well sincerely for what I was thinking of making my character build After reaching at a certain point one of the two skill lines on the hybrid tree is not necessary, so I can brush it aside And focus on advancing the other line which is more in like with the build i want

@AliceShiki ~ I was looking at the chests and noticed~ There is no ingot kind of reward in any chest rank~ Is it intentional? Are ingots only obtainable through market?
Everyone gains the full exp from any killed monster. Doesn't "Whenever a player kills a monster, everyone in the party earns exp from it." clarify it? Or does this make it look like the exp is split amongst the party members? I can try rewording this to make it clearer. You can leave the skill at level 0, but it won't unlock the skills that need it later on. That was necessary to avoid having people put only 1 point in the early skills and rushing to the high level and more powerful skills. You got it wrong. You need Ice Block Level 3 to unlock Giant Killer and Hastened Blow. Every other skill in the tree can be unlocked by going through the Heavy Blow Route. When in doubt, consult the first sheet of the Workbook, the Skill Tree one. It uses a visual representation to make things clearer:
What Zone said, Crafter, Apothecary and Enchanter are made with the intent of using Dungeon Drops for their crafts. Blacksmith is made with the intent of being the DP-based crafter instead. So the only way to get ingots is with DP~
