Recruitment Editors/Proofreaders, and maybe even translators?

Hello! So I'm Erika from CrappyAss Translations (which isn't exactly a group yet I believe...), and I've come here today looking for some editors and proofreaders. I've realized that although the translations aren't super bad, but it could use some TLC.

I already have one editor and one proofreader (who might also be another translator), but I do have other stories that I'd like to have editors/proofreaders for. Also, this is an unpaid job. We don't particularly earn money from this (Though I'm somewhat still considering donations if anything, to help pay to remove ads and pay editors/proofreaders) for now. But I'd rather you assume this will be unpaid the whole time just to not get your hopes up.

Also, we're open to translators if anybody wants. I only know Japanese though, so any skill level of that language are free to join in. I can definitely help with translation woes.

Mostly just the responsibility. I’ve once accidentally (accidentally because I didn’t mean to make a group) created a translation group before, and it came with its own set of problems when all I really wanted do is translate and read whenever I want. We got a lot of impatient readers the popular we got, and I’m not fond of having pressure put on me (aside from just the impatient readers) cause I stress easily lol. If you’re curious to what my group was, it’s called Hyouka Sentai Kotenrangers. Was a Hyouka translation group.

 

Hmmm...first of all.This lord can feel the feelings of the impatient reader.And is sure that hooman knows the same feeling about that.Since everyone has their own point of view.Hooman is also correct with wanting to do it on your own pace.Everyone feels the same under pressure ...unless hooman likes challenges or just straight up a masochistic. What story are you planning on translating??

 

Well, it's mostly just editors for the current projects we have, but if translators join in and take some of the projects I'm currently translating, I might start working on the requests I got from one of my editors, which is mainly Omae Mitai na Heroine (which I've heard that a lot of people want to be continued) and My Favorable Rating Doesn't Rise.

 

Wait, how is that not actually a group then?? Or are you just another one man army??

 

Well, it just started off as me translating, and then I asked for editing help, so it was just us two for a while until just yesterday. If we become a group, then that's fine as well.

Edit: Wait, do you mean the amount I was translating? Well, so far, it's only been me translating all these stories. I sometimes finish more than one chapter a day, but I don't translate everyday. I just schedule them ahead of time.
