yeah, how can 5s be better then the 6s, but the 6s still be the best?

 

Easily - there are more than one parameter that describe how good a helmet is. 6s is better in some but is worse in others - and the parameters more suitable to MC are better in 5s.

 

I really thought the war would boost ratings. Heck, there was a part of me that thought it might be a publicity stunt.

 

Might I remind you of Nintendo and Microsoft & how the game console industry work?

is near 100% chance it is necromancy related, so improve skeletons or curse. reasoning is when he asked ambrihee for help the system probably went "checking for level 80 quests that could improve necromancer" and it picked this one.

 

I just realized, the cheapest way to equip his summons would be to PK those guys hunting him. Smacking faces, killing and looting young masters and their lackeys IS the most efficient way to save money for MCs. The Battlefield is a target rich environment since there are no rules!

 

gonna need to see what this skill does before i pass judgement. if it's too strong then there is no way the person that got a unique skill in the previous time didn't become the most powerful player ever, being just plain more powerful then anyone else of the same class.

 

You seem to be ignoring that you can get unique skills in other ways. On top of that there's still skill involved in playing. So, what if you have a unique skill if your opponent has unique equipment and is a far better player.

 

it was just explained that you need to be lucky and/or skilled to be able to get a unique skill. a skilled person with a unique skill would very obviously be scouted by a top guild, and the guild would then raise them up with fantastic gear and power leveling. a warrior with all the skills vs a warrior with all the skills +1. all else being equel the second guy would win every time.

 

It said lucky or put in a lot of effort not skilled. Then it went right on to say that you could use money to make up for both. There's only so many people in this group. You only need to be the most skilled among that small group and finish the mission.

 

144 hours battlefield time*approx 300 players/48 hours to resurrect=900 watches to be collected!!! Assuming MC don't die.

How could him running in immediately be a surprise? It had a better than 90% probability of happening even if this wasn't a story. It would have been much stranger if he hadn't, whether you're considering the reward or the mass of enemies waiting to stab him in the back.

How would "catching him at the end" even matter? If he's already killed the Giant, then he'll get the book regardless. There would be no real reason at that point for his temporary allies to still be his allies.

There's no guarantee anyone actually got this particular skill the last time round. The Giant won't be a pushover, and if they're too focused on killing each other, its perfectly reasonable that the survivors would be wiped out by the Giant.

 

Since it binds on pickup, I'd say it's a blank unique skillbook, similar to what he got for finishing the last dungeon. He had to put his left hand on the cover and it changed into a necromancer class skillbook.
Also, the 'unique' rank in this game isn't literal. No matter what he gets, another necromancer will likely end up with the same skill.

 

yes, if another necromancer got a unique rank book they could get the same skill. the problem is another necromancer getting a unique rank book. it's super hard to find one.

 

Why would he need to work with the party they were attacking? Why couldn't it have been an attack of opportunity? What exactly would have changed? Also, why were they talking to the second group when they just mutely slaughtered the first one? Why the change in the modus operandi when the prior one worked so well? Were they somehow aware that if they delayed things then they'd get ambushed and they wanted to help the author out or what?

Shouldn't the Strikers' physical stats have been higher than his? Even if they had the same base stats, and Hyrkan had the +9% from gear etc., they would have far more from their own gear etc., since they would focus on it to the exclusion of all else while he had to split his attention. Its why specialists will always be better than similarly leveled characters in their area of specialization.

I'm not sure why, but the author's self-congratulatory ramblings irritate me more than usual in this series. Maybe its just that I'm pretty much never even close to being as impressed by whatever he's going on about as he is, and sometimes, don't even consider the occurrence they reference to be remotely reasonable.
