There had been a new updates, but I haven't read it yet... I'm stockpiling it until about 100 chapters more... Spoiler: additional spoiler... She was still in the temple... The Empress Dowager assigned hubby's brother as her guard. This brother got a crush on her, and knew that the hubby didn't threat her well. At the previous chapter, he knew about the hubby's "misunderstanding" and was hoping that MC could be happy with his brother, and yet he was against ML (ML was undercover as MC's bodyguard and the brother didn't knew ML's real identity). I really didn't like him, bc if he didn't get MC, he prefer MC to be with his jerk brother rather than ML who would treat MC better... He even duped MC into teaching him some trick (I think it was some rocket soda). MC thought that he was going to use it on the hubby, but he was planning on using it on ML... Also, Empress Dowager's attitude toward MC softened a bit after MC revealed that the ED's favourite flowers were in fact poisonous and cured ED. ED helped MC stayed in the palace when the hubby acted devotedly and asked MC back. ED told hubby that MC was in the middle of doing some praying.

But according to all the spoilers posted in here, the MC just met the ML a few times yet its already more than a hundred chapter past and the MC still dont have feelings for ML? Hubby still has a chance then if he suddenly make a 180 degrees turn being good and almighty.

Update on the latest chapter: they had mutual feeling, actually MC already did when ML saved her from being raped in the carriage. She mentioned in her thought that she felt save with ML beside her and hug him. I'm also confused about that—— So either the ML was someone else, or perhaps the author would insert amnesia as plot in the latter part of the story? Anyway, further spoiler on the latest chapters... Spoiler: inside palace arc ED liked MC but she didn't want for MC to confuse her son. So she planned to cooperate with the jerk hubby. Previously ED threatened the Emperor that he would be criticised and his position could be precarious once people found out that he was in love with his niece-in-law. The Emperor told her that he didn't care about his position as long as he could get MC. ED got mad and started to plan to remove MC from the Emperor's side. MC asked hubby's brother to help her get her maid out of the jerk's wangfu. But since the brother get in the Emperor's ways soooo much (when ML was in disguised as MC's bodyguard). The Emperor assigned the brother to a far away job (while praising his talents, causing the brother to be proud that the Emperor appreciated him so much). Before leaving, the brother asked the Emperor instead to get MC's maid out. The jerk hubby pretended to be ill. He send his trusted eunuch to present MC with a "gift". The "gift" was a small box with MC's maid's fingers in it. MC paled and told the eunuch that she knew what to do (she agreed to go back to the wangfu). The Emperor saw MC's pale face and asked what's wrong. MC tried to hid it from ML bc she knew that ML would act and it would put him in a precarious position. The Emperor asked around and found out about the jerk's subordinate's visit. He suspected sth and asked for a search on the subordinate's body. Although he didn't find anything, he still suspected sth. MC was transported out of the palace secretly with ED's help. Spoiler: MC missing arc The jerk hubby was elated about MC's return and decorated all his wangfu. On the way to wangfu, MC was missing from the carriage, she got kidnapped (thank you to whoever person who kidnapped her). ED and the jerk hubby thought that it was Emperor's handiwork, so he barged into the Emperor's study. The Emperor was in the middle of meeting and satirised the jerk (bc the jerk was absent for the morning meeting, pretending to be ill). The jerk told the Emperor that he was better, so the Emperor hold him in the meeting too. The jerk found out that the Emperor didn't kidnap MC (since he was in the meeting the whole time) and frustrated throughout the meeting bc he was delayed from searching MC. After finished the meeting, the jerk rushed to ED's palace for further planning, but the Emperor insisted on walked with him. The jerk got more frustrated and started to threaten the Emperor. He said that MC was his, no matter what, and if the Emperor got in the way, that he would took Emperor's position since he was in the more rightful position anyway, and then took MC back. Then he taunted the Emperor, that it was Emperor's decree to let them both married. more rightful position ->I think that the previous Emperor was the jerk's father, but somehow the Emperor as the younger brother of the previous Emperor managed to ascend instead. The Emperor got angry (especially about the mention of the marriage decree) and leave. ED told the jerk that Emperor had no involvement in the MC's kidnapping. The jerk realised that the most possible culprit was his imperial aunt (The Emperor's sister). Meanwhile MC was in the aunt's place and the aunt reunited her with her maid. Turned out the jerk didn't cut her finger but imprisoned her and starved her before the aunt rescued the maid. Turned out that the aunt knew about the "carriage incident" as it was her who bumped into the carriage (which caused MC to woke up after fainted from being strangled). The aunt was back with her negative views of the jerk (before, she thought that the jerk was not bad at all after his confession about his "misunderstanding".) The jerk barged into the aunt palace and threatened to ransack the aunt's place unless she gave MC back to him. MC didn't want any problem and revealed herself. The jerk told her that previously he "just" pretended to threaten her, he didn't cut the maid's finger as he didn't want to do anything to hurt her. He swore that he would always be good to her afterwards. Being from the modern period, MC knew the insignificance of an oath. MC laughed at his oath, and asked him, didn't previously he also swore to her 2nd sister to always be good to the 2nd sister and treat her well? But now, he even abandoned the 2nd sister and the child. p.s. the jerk reminded me of the ML from The Imperial Princess Accidentally Seduced Her Husband, first he swore to the moon, then to the sun, and what next? Stars? Mars? Venus? The hubby told MC that he only broke his oath bc the 2nd sister (whom he called "the bitch" now) had duped him, but he wouldn't broke his promise to MC. (whatever) He took MC hand and placed it on his chest and asked MC to fell his heartbeat and confessed. MC tried to criticise him but words wouldn't come out, she cried even though she didn't intended to and she speculated that it was because of the previous host's strong feeling toward the jerk that still remained in her body. She knew that it wasn't her that cried, because obviously the one that she loved was the Emperor. She tried to resist and ended up fainted and in coma. The Emperor was angry and MC apologised and promised to not hid anything from him anymore (except the matter about her reincarnation, bc she didn't know whether the Emperor would believe her or not). The Emperor asked for compensation (kiss). She kissed him lightly, cried happily and told him that she was grateful for being able to meet him in her life. They were hugging when they heard a noise from the door. Turned out the aunt was eavesdropping on them. Then this time, the aunt really left them alone. MC asked the Emperor to took her out. She heard about an entertainment girl (prostitute?) with a great singing skill and wanted to hear it. The Emperor was reluctant to bring her to a brothel, but he conceded. He rent a private room (near the river or in the ship). The music and song was played for them privately. While singing, the entertainment girl kept on glancing seductively at the Emperor. Unfortunately for her, his eyes were on MC all along. MC got drunk and felt thirsty, she saw how moist the Emperor's lips were and started to kiss him. She told him that she liked him (finally). The Emperor was very touched by her confession but tried to restrain himself as he knew that MC was drunk and he didn't want to take advantage on MC. As she went into the water, she got sober. The Emperor worried about her and jumped in, he forgot that he couldn't swim (I think it's save to assume that all of the royal members couldn't swim). MC ended up save him instead and dragged him to the riverside. She did CPR and he woke. After being in the near death situation, they desperately kissed, MC decided to give herself to the Emperor. Emperor tried to restrain himself and ended up jumping into the river to cool himself. By this time, I was like...┻━┻ ︵ ლ(ಠ益ಠლ) Anyway, he told her that the 1st time they had sex would be on the day in their bridal chamber, when he took her as his only wife. Spoiler: onsen time Since both of their clothes were wet, the Emperor decided to take her into his private onsen. She was in the hot spring alone, a black figure jumped in and started to blabber on foreign language. She tried to scream for the Emperor but the man covered her mouth. She bit the man's hand. The man insisted on knowing her name. The Emperor came in time and attacked the man. The man angrily told them that he didn't bully her, he only liked her and wanted to know her name. The man run away, but not before declaring that he would be back to find her. The Emperor saw MC bloody mouth and promised to catch the man and cut him to pieces. He told her that he didn't care about what had happened to her body and his feeling toward her would never change. MC angrily clarified to him that the man didn't do anything to her. The Emperor got embarrassed and told her to go to sleep or else he would ask her to do shiqin (U know, it's the night when a concubine serve upon the Emperor). MC told the Emperor that she would give him shiqin, but since she never done it before, she asked for the Emperor to teach her. Then she started to strip the Emperor off. As she undressed him, the Emperor was in panic bc he only used the word "shiqin" to scare her. Anyway, MC refused to sleep and asked the Emperor to tell her about himself. She ended up asleep in the middle of the talk. Spoiler: Emperor was missing? The morning after, ED was in panic over the missing Emperor. She forced his bodyguard (who always beside him when he was undercover to meet MC) to tell her everything. The bodyguard (eunuch) ended up telling ED everything about their meeting. Meanwhile, MC and the Emperor had just awoke. The Emperor asked her about her statement when she was drunk (when she confessed). She confirmed that she did like him. He also confessed that he liked her too. He put her hand in his chest and asked her to fell his heartbeat. This reminded MC of what the jerk hubby did previously. She got scared and fainted. ED previously thought that the Emperor was just falling in love over MC's beauty, the first time he saw her at the banquet (where MC requested for divorce decree), and hated MC for seducing her son, but ED realised that the Emperor was already deeply infatuated with MC. ED heard that the Emperor was back and rushed to meet him. The Emperor was in the imperial hospital. The imperial physician (the same one that check on her previously) vaguely got a clue about what happened between the Emperor-MC-jerk hubby. The physician told him that MC fainted bc she was scared and she also once fainted before when she was with the jerk hubby and told him what happened before. The Emperor realised that the jerk hubby was the reason MC got scared and fainted. The physician told the Emperor that MC didn't need any drug (she already had one yesterday), and told the Emperor to just be at MC's side. MC woke up soon after. The Emperor still insisted that MC drunk the medicine and feed her mouth to mouth. ED saw it from the secret peeping hole. She summoned the just returned jerk hubby's brother. She asked the brother to assassinate MC. Also p.s. MC's maid had a crush on ML's bodyguard (the eunuch)
I wonder if ED knows that if she's unable to kill the MC and they push the jerk prince into becoming emperor, the MC is going to become queen regardless and if she ended up succeeding in killing the MC, obviously the jerk prince and the ML won't take that too well towards her.
I've checked the original chinese words, it got few meaning: 1. In the game such as basketball, it means dribbling the ball. 2. In romance story, it means that when a girl was pregnant, she usually had no choice but to stay and gave birth to children, but instead she run away with her big belly. 3. Pregnancy outside marriage. So i guess that sometimes after, MC would get pregnant either after marriage and run away or that she would get pregnant outside marriage? There's not many left beside the spoiler that I've given before about their first 4 meeting and the above post. The rest was about his part time job as her bodyguard. Spoiler: training to ride horse MC was trying to ride a rare bred difficult horse, but she was able to control it. The jerk whipped the horse which cause the horse to run wildly and rampaging on the street. (this was the incident which cause MC 4th meeting with ML and her subsequently hiring him as her bodyguard.) The later, the jerk was about to kill the horse that MC rode previously so MC suggested a bet with the jerk (I'm not gonna bother typing hubby or prince anymore) about the hunting game. If she won, she got the horse, but if she lose, he would make her knell and swore to never leave the wangfu anymore. He personally taught her to ride horse properly bc he was very confident about his skill. Spoiler: 2nd sis' plot 2nd sis heard about the jerk personally trained MC and got jealous. She plotted to kill MC "again". She wore some kind of perfume which cause horses to run rampage but not before giving the jerk's horse the antidote. The horse that MC ride run rampage toward the 2nd sis. The jerk hit the horse to death and it caused MC to get thrown over. MC was about to fall fatally, but ML managed to save her in time. ML princess-carried MC since he noticed that MC's foot got injured. The jerk ordered ML to put MC down and mocked both of them for being in inappropriate relationship. This anger the Emperor and he got into fight with the jerk. The jerk swore to beat him or his surname wasn't "Chu". ML laughed and told the jerk that the jerk didn't deserve the "Chu" surname. Since ML's skill was above the jerk, he managed to make the jerk severely injured internally. In the middle of the fighting, MC was worried about ML. The jerk cursed her "slut" etc, which angered ML and he bitchslapped the jerk twice and warned him about insulting MC anymore. The jerk accused MC of trying to kill 2nd sis. MC said she was innocent, and made a bet with the jerk. The jerk gave her 3 days to prove her innocent. Also MC told the jerk that he could insult her but she wouldn't never let him insulted the ML. ML princess-carried MC back to her room since he noticed that MC's foot got injured. He then unhesitatingly applied his own medicine to MC and gave the rest to MC. MC recognised that the medicine should be very precious and expensive. Later on, MC managed to prove her innocent by making the 2nd sis' maid the scapegoat. He told ML to steal 2nd sis' clothes, and dose it with the same previous perfume. The horse that the jerk rode run amok this time. It was the jerk's beloved horse, but he unhesitatingly killed it to save the 2nd sis. But not before it trampled the 2nd sis' maid to death. 2nd sis fainted at the horrible state of her maid. Spoiler: drunk Previously after the fight with the jerk, MC asked ML why he spared him. ML told her bc he didn't receive any payment. (later MC knew that ML spared the jerk, bc of their family relationship, seriously ML was too kind). But in the aftermath, ML offered to kill 2nd sis for free. But MC told him to let her be bc 2nd sis and the jerk really suit each other. MC and ML was out celebrating for winning. MC told ML that since they're now friends, she asked him to remove his mask without killing her. Previously she also asked him to, but ML told her that all the people who saw his real face were dead, which scared her. He removed his mask, MC felt that she had seen his face somewhere (actually it's just because his face was somewhat similar to jerk and jerk's brother). ML asked MC who's more handsome. MC told him it was ML. ML was happy, but then MC got drunk and started to curse the Emperor. ML piggybacked her home. In her drunken state, she started to blabber that she knew ML real identity. ML warily asked her. She told him that he was a big bad wolf and she was the little red ridding hood that was about to be eaten by the wolf. Then she started to curse the Emperor to death again. She told ML that the Emperor must be an old confused man with white beard and followed by teethless old eunuchs. ML asked MC why she believed that the Emperor was old and confused. MC told him, it was bc he decreed the marriage between her and the jerk. ML laughed and told her that the decree was her own will. So apparently, the decree wasn't the jerk's request but the previous host's. She begged her father, and her father begged the Emperor to grant her marriage to the jerk. Spoiler: her new residence I forgot the timeline and the event, but MC managed to exhort the jerk to give her the best of his residence to her. On some night, the jerk's brother secretly visited her and tried to kiss her in her sleep. ML found out and they argued. MC woke and the jerk's brother managed to lie about the kiss. Anyway MC went back to sleep and left them both on they own. They ended up fighting the whole night and ransacked the whole residence. On the morning after, MC woke up and found out about her ruined residence. Then 2nd sis visited her out of jealousy. 2nd sis didn't know about the deal between the jerk and MC and thought that the jerk gave MC the residence bc he cared about MC. After taunting MC and lost, MC told her servants to go to the wangfu treasury and asked for money for her whole place had been ransacked by the 2nd sis (LOL). Then when she was drunk after the horse bet and piggybacked by ML. The jerk's brother saw and started to argue with ML again. They were tugging and pulling MC, she scream in pain. They both let her go and she fell. Anyway, they got in fight again inside the room. MC told her to fight outside for she wanted to go to sleep. She didn't care as the furniture and all of it was the jerk's and his money. While they fought outside, the servants reported to MC about the destroyed garden, killed birds, destroyed and killed fishes. MC got mad and told her servant to pick the dead fishes and served it to both of the male as they came later. Meanwhile as the revenge for her maid, 2nd sis begin her other plot. She accused MC of not being virgin and told the jerk to check it with the 2 ruthless old maid. She had bribed the 2 maids to ruin MC. The jerk came and told MC to strip and let the 2 old maids check her hymen. MC told the jerk to check her personally via the shougongsha (red cinnabar) instead. MC's innocent was proven. The jerk left. And MC instructed the servant to got treasury to ask for 10x compensation as her furnitures, garden and pets had been ransacked by the jerk. Spoiler: the end of ML's job as bodyguard Anyway, the jerk got more and more jelly about ML. In the end he threatened ML with MC's life. He told her that unless ML swore to never met with MC again, he would kill MC. ML got MC mad to make her hate him, so that she wouldn't miss him and MC chased him out. The incident was: MC was in the middle of her bath, the jerk came and tried to drown her to death. She was very scared but ML didn't came to help her. She thought that it was bc ML wasn't in her residence, but then after the she was revived from being almost death, ML told her that he was already in her residence. MC angry bc he just watched as the jerk drown her. So she cut their relationship. Anyway later on, ML explained that as he arrived and saw MC was bathing, he was too embarrassed to be near her and went away, which left her unguarded. When he came back, the jerk was already left after drowning her. That's the end of their interaction as master and bodyguard. The next time they met was when the imperial aunt helped her to meet with the emperor to ask for the divorce decree.
He didn't, that's why he got very little screen time prior to MC move to the palace. The 4 times he met MC was very short. Then when he was part timing as a bodyguard, he was suck at his job bc he was absent most of the time. He only came every few days for a short period, and mostly at night (rarely in the noon).
No matter how evil is hubby... I just can't understand why he has more screentime than the supposedly ML(emperor)... He has more time/moments with the MC. I keep wondering if the Emperor ia really the ML. I mean there is still possibility that the jerky hubby will miraculously or magically transform into a goody two shoes deserving the ML title. Lol!

After that, he still appeared but not as often as before (in the latest arc, he didn't appear at all). Spoiler: The possibility of hubby's change He was an incorrigible bastard. 1. Previously before Emperor granted the marriage, Emperor asked him and he vowed to always treated MC good, but bc of his "misunderstanding", we all know what's happened. 2. After the declaration of divorcement, he vowed to sun and moon that he would treat MC good from now on... 3. Not long after, he choked MC and proceeded to molest her. Then he regretted bc he had sworn previously, and then promised to MC not to touch her anymore. 4. Then he threatened her to go back to him by giving her a severed fingers of her maid. 5. Then he told her that the fingers were fake, and vowed to always treat her good and asked her to come back. See a pattern? As for the Emperor, Shen Ning already admitted that she loved him and that she had decided to follow him through good and bad (previously all she wanted was to be free, but when the jerk's brother offered her that, she refused him and insisted on go back to the Emperor). Spoiler: While the Emperor He stated to his mother that if she tried to kill MC again, he would disappeared (fake his death and gone) along with Shen Ning...
