Idk if Landius will show up now as opposed to later on, since he’s been established as being above pretty much everyone in terms of strength, but my prediction is that the barrier will be destroyed, most (but not all) of the royals will die, and only after the reunion of the main characters of the first game (Landius, Kamael, Lena, Velkian) plus probably the second game’s main characters (Jude, Cordelia, Lucas, maybe Red Wind (but I doubt it), and Maximilian since he was mentioned a couple chapters ago.)
My bet is that one or two of the three royals who have been established as an actual character so far are going to die, and of them my bet is on the forgettable magician prince and the ideal ruler princess dying and leaving the youngest one. I don’t remember any of their names.

 

This is excellent plot building, actually. All the important actors are being brought to a common place quite naturally...

 

Also helps we've had like 100 chapters of Jude basically saying "we're doing this to lure the Necromancer to the capital for this one fight"

The light going out means he's about to die, but don't worry, Velkian came at the right time, so he will live.

I'd say he didn't so the theme song from back to the future could play out ...

 

So, looks like I’ll end up being at least partially right. Daphne lost a hand and will probably end up killed, Dion as well it looks like.

 

That Duke foreshadow is pretty dope. Well consructed.

 

Has anybody named Duke been mentioned in any of Jude/Cordelia's thoughts about the game previously, or is it implying he's a Duke-rank demon or something? The way it's worded makes it seem more like a name, but not sure if it is just a new name, or something they previously mentioned as an enemy from the game.

 

Duke is title and name from that said demon, as for who is this duke truly is........someone that Jude and Cordelia know before he becomes a demon.
