    I-Its not like I want to h-help you, baka!!!!

    Hello there. I am avatarivn (avatar or ava for short), and I am hardcore fan of light novels, web novels, and pretty much most otaku stuff (except Gender Bender, Yaoi, and NTR stuff). My English grammar is relatively good and I have plenty of free time available for now. I have no knowledge of Japanese language, I have no experience as an editor but I really want to help and I am willing to learn.

    If you think I can help, please feel free to contact me on this thread. Also, don't hesitate to ask me anything or send me a sample so I can work on it and you decide if we can team up.

    I found mistakes in your post. If you're trying to become an editor/proofreader, you should at least proofread your own writing. First impressions count.

    Indeed. There are mistakes in your, avatarvian’s, post at the moment. I know I make mistakes myself when typing, but you may want to reread your message over a few times, starting with the first word. :blobsweat:

    Do you mean the “I-It’s not like I want to h-help you baka!”? I’m like 10000% sure that those mistakes were intentional. I’m also 10000% sure that making those “mistakes” is a sign that this person has read a good number of Japanese novels/manga. I mean, have you guys seen Toradora’s subs? They practically scream stutter.

    What novel you actively translate?

    oof the feedback here is harsh. I would suggest checking out some scanlation groups for manga if you don't get an offer here. Or you can always be an independent mtl, and once you get a lot of feedback and improve enough you can probably join another translation group.

    I hear a lot about groups and websites recruiting, you just need to look. Not necessarily here, but for exemple while reading on your favorite website, you can see if they are hiring. After, there’s usually a test you need to take and send it to them, then voila! ;)
